Operating Instructions

Lifting and Lowering

  • To Lift: Position the patient in the sling. Ensure the hydraulic pump control lever is fully clockwise (towards the pump handle). Pump the hydraulic handle to gently raise the patient.
  • To Lower: Slowly turn the hydraulic pump control lever counter-clockwise (away from the pump handle). The patient's weight will assist in a gradual and controlled descent.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent regularly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

  • Casters: Keep the casters clean and free of debris to ensure smooth movement. Check brakes for proper function.
  • Sling Care: Follow the washing instructions provided with your patient sling. Inspect slings for tears or damage before each use.

Troubleshooting

  • Lift Not Raising/Lowering: Ensure the hydraulic pump control lever is correctly positioned (clockwise for lifting, slowly counter-clockwise for lowering). Check for any obstructions.
  • Difficulty Moving Lift: Verify that the caster brakes are disengaged. Clean any debris from the wheels. Ensure the base width is appropriate for the pathway.
  • Sling Attachment Issues: Confirm that the sling straps are correctly attached to the cradle bar's attachment points. Ensure the sling is compatible with the lift.
  • Lift Does Not Go Low Enough: If the lift does not lower sufficiently to attach the sling from the floor, consider using a sling with longer straps or adjusting the patient's initial position if possible.
