VTOMAN X5 Jump Starter and Air Compressor User Manual

Model: X5 Black

1. Introduction

The VTOMAN X5 is a versatile and powerful multi-function device designed for automotive emergencies and portable power needs. It combines a high-capacity jump starter, a digital tire inflator, a portable power bank, and an LED flashlight into one compact unit. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your VTOMAN X5.

2. Safety Information

Your VTOMAN X5 is equipped with advanced safety features to ensure secure operation. Always adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Protection Features: The device includes spark-proof, reverse-charge, over-current, over-charge, reverse-polarity, high-temp, low-temp, short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-load protection.
  • Air Pump Usage: Do not use the air pump function continuously for extended periods. If the tire battery compressor becomes seriously hot, allow it to cool down for a few minutes before resuming inflation.
  • Charging Port: The Type-C port is the sole input charging port. The DC output port is exclusively for powering car products (e.g., car vacuum cleaners) and is NOT a charging port for the unit itself. Use only the provided Type-C cable for charging to prevent safety issues.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VTOMAN X5.

  • Charging: Recharge the unit regularly, especially after use, to maintain battery health. The device has a 24-month standby time and a battery life of 1000+ cycles.
  • Cooling: The X5 features an upgraded thermal design for efficient heat dissipation. However, avoid continuous operation of the air pump to prevent overheating. If the unit becomes hot, allow it to cool down before further use.
  • Storage: Store the device in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (-4°F to 140°F operating range).

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VTOMAN X5, consider the following common solutions:

  • Jump Start Failure: Ensure jumper cables are correctly attached (red to positive, black to negative). The smart cable indicator should show a solid green light. If the vehicle battery is completely dead, use the BOOST function.
  • Inflation Issues: Verify the air hose is securely screwed into the unit and the nozzle is properly attached to the tire valve. Check the selected PSI setting on the digital screen.
  • Device Not Powering On: Ensure the unit is sufficiently charged. Recharge if the battery indicator is low.
  • Overheating: If the unit feels hot during air inflation, discontinue use and allow it to cool down.
