4. Installation Guide

This section provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Roinvou car radio. Professional installation is recommended.

4.1 Removing the OEM Radio Unit

1. Using a plastic pry tool, carefully pry out the air vent trim panel located above the OEM radio.
2. Disconnect the emergency light cable and the vehicle status indicator light cable from the back of the trim panel.
3. Use a socket tool to remove the two fixing screws located at the top of the OEM head unit.
4. Carefully pry out the center console panel around the gear shifter. Shift the gear into "D" to provide more space, then unscrew the gear shift knob.
5. When lifting the center console panel, be careful to disconnect all connecting cables on the back.
6. Use a socket tool to remove the two fixing screws at the bottom of the OEM head unit.
7. Gently pull out the OEM head unit and disconnect all cables at the back of the unit.
8. Unscrew the fixing screws on both sides of the OEM head unit and remove the mounting brackets.
9. Remove the OEM air conditioning control panel from the old unit.

4.2 Wiring Connections

1. From the OEM wiring harness, connect the three necessary wires to the new unit's power cable.
2. If your Camry is a newer model (check compatibility), connect the steering wheel control cable.
3. If your Camry is a newer model (check compatibility), connect the radio antenna cable. For older models, these two cables can be disregarded.
4. Connect the new Roinvou device to the air conditioning control panel.
5. Connect all air control panel cables and the cables on the back of the new unit. Refer to the wiring diagram for specific connections.

4.3 Rear View Camera Installation

1. Open the trim panel on the tailgate of your vehicle.
2. Locate the positive wire of the reverse light.
3. Connect the red wire of the camera extension cable to the reverse light's positive pole.
4. Install the AHD backup camera behind the license plate.
5. Route the camera cable through the license plate light housing into the vehicle interior.
6. Connect the camera extension cable to the car radio compartment.
7. Connect the reverse camera extension cable to the reverse trigger wire.
8. Connect the blue wire in the reverse trigger wire harness to the third wire in the power wire harness.

4.4 Final Assembly

1. Align the new unit with the clips and secure it in the car.
2. Reinstall the air vent trim panel, ensuring all cables are reconnected.
3. Reinstall the center console panel, ensuring all internal cables are reconnected to their original positions.
