  • This toy produces flashes that may trigger epilepsy in sensitized individuals.
  • Do not aim at eyes or face.
  • Use only as intended.

3. Setup

Before starting your laser tag game, follow these simple steps to set up your blasters:

  1. Battery Installation: Each Laser X Micro Double Blaster requires 3 "AAA" (1.5V) batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or handle of the blaster. Open the compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and securely close the compartment.
  2. Power On: Locate the power switch on each blaster. Turn the switch to the "ON" position. The blasters will light up and make a sound, indicating they are ready for play.
  3. Blaster Connection: The blasters and their receivers are attached by a cord. This design ensures the receiver is always with the blaster, eliminating the need for separate vests. The cord length is designed to allow for full range of motion during play.

4. Operating Instructions

The Laser X Micro Double Blasters are designed for intuitive and exciting gameplay:

  • Gameplay Objective: The goal is to "blast" your opponents by aiming your blaster at their blaster's integrated receiver.
  • Health Indicator: All blasters have an in-game "health" system indicated by the color of the receiver.
    • Green: Maximum health.
    • As you get hit, the color will change, progressing towards Red.
    • Red: Low health.
    • When your blaster turns off or indicates you're out, you're out of the game. You can typically reset to rejoin.
  • Reloading: When your blaster runs out of "blasts" (ammunition), the color will fade away. To reload, hold the trigger down until the color returns, indicating you have reloaded.
  • Team Play: The blasters offer over 10 unique team colors. You cannot blast members of your own team. For example, if you are on the red team, you cannot be hit by another red blaster, but you can hit any other color.
  • Ultra Mode (Rainbow): This special mode allows you to blast anyone, including other players in Ultra Mode. To enter Ultra Mode, turn your blaster off, then turn it back on and cycle through the colors until you reach the multi-color (rainbow) setting. This is typically found at the very end of the color cycle, after red.
  • Hit Indicator: The receiver under the blaster also indicates who blasted you. For example, if your blaster blinks blue, you were blasted by a blue team player.
  • Advanced Blasting: Laser X blasters can shoot through windows and strategically bounce beams off walls and mirrors to hit opponents, adding a strategic element to your game.
  • Range: These blasters have an impressive range of up to 200 feet (60 meters), allowing for dynamic play in various environments.
  • Compatibility: All Laser X blasters are compatible with each other, including older models. This means you can expand your game with additional blasters from the Laser X line for unlimited players.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LASER X Micro Double Blasters, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the blasters with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dust and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the blasters in water.
  • Storage: Store the blasters in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if the blasters will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Battery Care: Always use fresh, high-quality "AAA" batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your LASER X Micro Double Blasters, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Blaster not turning on or no lights/sounds.Dead or incorrectly installed batteries.Check battery polarity. Replace with fresh "AAA" batteries. Ensure battery compartment is securely closed.
Blaster not registering hits or range is poor.Obstruction, too far, or bright sunlight interference.Ensure a clear line of sight to the opponent's receiver. Try playing in a less brightly lit area or closer range. Check for dirt on the blaster's sensor.
Blaster constantly beeping or changing colors randomly.Low health indicator or interference. This often indicates low health. Try resetting the game or allowing the blaster to be "out" and then reset it. If persistent, check for strong light sources or other infrared devices nearby.
Blaster not reloading.Trigger not held long enough or battery issue.Ensure the trigger is held continuously until the blaster indicates it's reloaded (lights return). Check battery strength.
Blaster not turning off unless batteries are removed.Possible internal switch malfunction. This is an unusual issue. Ensure the power switch is fully in the "OFF" position. If the problem persists, contact customer support for assistance.
