Maintenance and Cleaning

  1. Self-Cleaning Function: To activate the self-cleaning cycle, ensure the ice maker is empty of ice. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the 'MAX' line. Press and hold the 'ICE/CLEAN' button for 5 seconds. The unit will perform an internal cleaning cycle.
  2. Draining Water: After the self-cleaning cycle or when storing the unit, drain all water from the reservoir. Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the unit, remove it, and allow the water to flow out. Replace the plug securely.
  3. Regular Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For the interior, use a mild detergent and water, then rinse thoroughly. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
  4. Preventing Mold: To prevent mold and mildew, always ensure the unit is completely dry when not in use for extended periods. Leaving the lid slightly ajar can help with air circulation.

Troubleshooting

  • No Ice Production: Check if the 'ADD WATER' indicator is on. If so, add water. Ensure the unit is plugged in and the power button is pressed. Verify that the ambient temperature is within the recommended operating range.
  • Ice Not Forming Properly: Ensure the water reservoir is filled with cold water. If the ice is too thin or thick, adjust the ice thickness setting if available (refer to control panel details).
  • Unusual Noises: Some operational noise is normal during ice production. If unusual loud noises occur, check for any obstructions in the ice-making mechanism or contact customer support.
  • Ice Smells/Tastes Bad: Perform a thorough self-cleaning cycle. Use fresh, clean water. Ensure the unit is properly drained and aired out between uses to prevent mildew.
  • Ice Basket Full, but Production Continues: Ensure the ice full sensor is clean and unobstructed. Remove excess ice from the basket.
