1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your iDOO Hydroponics Growing System Kit 12Pods. This indoor gardening system is designed to facilitate plant growth without soil, utilizing water and nutrient solutions. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper use and optimal plant health.
2. Product Overview and Components
The iDOO Hydroponics Growing System is an integrated unit featuring a water reservoir, LED grow light, and a circulation system. It supports the growth of up to 12 plants simultaneously.

Included Components:
- Hydroponics Growing System Base Unit (with 4.5L water tank, pump, and fan)
- Adjustable LED Grow Light Panel
- A&B Plant Food (Nutrient solutions)
- Growth Sponges (for seed germination)
- Grow Baskets (to hold sponges and plants)
- Plant Tags (for identification)
- Grow Domes (to create a humid environment for germination)
- Covers (for unused pods)
- Pod Labels

3. Setup Instructions
- Assemble the System: Place the LED grow light panel onto the adjustable pole and secure it to the base unit. Ensure all connections are firm.
- Fill the Water Tank: Open the water fill port and pour clean water into the 4.5L reservoir. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line. The visual window on the front of the unit indicates the water level.
- Add Nutrients: Refer to the plant food instructions for the correct dosage of A and B nutrient solutions. Add them to the water tank.
- Prepare Seed Pods: Insert a growth sponge into each grow basket. Place seeds into the sponges.
- Place Grow Baskets: Insert the prepared grow baskets into the designated holes on the top deck of the system. For unused holes, place covers to prevent algae growth and water evaporation.
- Apply Grow Domes: Place grow domes over the baskets containing seeds to create a humid environment, aiding germination. Remove domes once seedlings emerge.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the system and then into a power outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Control Panel Functions
The control panel typically includes buttons for Power, Fan & Water, Vegetables Mode, and Flowers & Fruits Mode. Consult your specific model's manual for exact button layouts.
4.2. LED Grow Light Modes
The 22-Watt LED light automatically turns on and off, simulating the sunlight spectrum. There are two primary growing modes:
- Vegetables Mode: Emits blue light, red light, far red light, and white light. This spectrum is optimized for leafy greens and vegetative growth.
- Flower/Fruit Mode: Emits red light, far red light, and white light. This spectrum supports flowering and fruiting stages of plants.

4.3. Fan and Water Pump Operation
The integrated low-noise pump aerates the water, and the built-in fan simulates a gentle breeze. These components operate on timed intervals to optimize plant growth and disperse heat.

4.4. Adjustable Height
The height of the LED grow light can be adjusted to accommodate plants at different growth stages, up to a maximum height of 14.88 inches. Adjust the light as plants grow to maintain optimal distance.
4.5. Silent Sleep Mode
The system features a silent sleep mode that can turn off the fan, water pump, and lights for 10 hours, providing a quiet environment when needed.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Water and Nutrient Management
- Regular Water Checks: Monitor the water level using the visual window. Refill with clean water as needed.
- Nutrient Replenishment: As plants grow and consume water, nutrients will also be depleted. Add nutrient solutions according to the plant food instructions, typically when refilling water or during a full water change.
- Full Water Change: It is recommended to perform a full water change every 1-2 weeks, especially during active growth periods, to prevent nutrient imbalance and algae buildup. Drain the old water, clean the reservoir, and refill with fresh water and new nutrient solution.
5.2. Cleaning
- Reservoir Cleaning: Periodically clean the water reservoir to remove any algae or mineral buildup. Use a soft brush or cloth and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly.
- Pump and Fan Cleaning: Ensure the water pump and fan are free from debris to maintain optimal performance. Disconnect power before cleaning these components.
- Grow Baskets and Sponges: After each growth cycle, clean grow baskets for reuse. Growth sponges are typically single-use.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Seeds not germinating | Insufficient humidity, old seeds, incorrect temperature. | Ensure grow domes are in place. Check seed viability. Maintain room temperature between 68-78°F (20-25°C). |
| Plants growing slowly | Nutrient deficiency, incorrect light cycle, water quality issues. | Check nutrient levels and replenish. Ensure correct light mode (Vegetables/Flower/Fruit) is selected. Perform a full water change. |
| Algae growth in reservoir | Excess light exposure to water, high water temperature. | Ensure all unused pod holes are covered. Perform a full water change and clean the reservoir. Keep system in a cool area. |
| Pump/Fan not working | Power issue, blockage, component malfunction. | Check power connection. Ensure no debris is blocking the pump or fan. If issues persist, contact customer support. |
| Leaves turning yellow | Nutrient deficiency (e.g., nitrogen), pH imbalance. | Check and adjust nutrient levels. Consider testing water pH and adjusting if necessary (optimal pH for most plants is 5.5-6.5). |
