3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Preparing for Installation
- Clean the windshield area where the dash cam will be mounted.
- Apply an electrostatic sticker to the desired mounting location on the windshield. This helps protect your windshield and allows for easier repositioning.
- Insert the provided 32GB MicroSD card into the dash cam's card slot. Ensure it is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
3.2 Mounting the Dash Cam
- Attach the adhesive mount to the dash cam.
- Peel off the protective film from the adhesive mount and firmly press the dash cam onto the electrostatic sticker on your windshield, ideally behind the rearview mirror for optimal view and minimal obstruction.
- For the rear camera, choose a suitable location on your rear windshield. Use the second electrostatic sticker and adhesive mount for secure attachment.

3.3 Wiring and Power Connection
- Connect the USB-C car charger to the dash cam's power input.
- Route the power cable along the edge of your windshield and dashboard, tucking it into the trim using the provided car wire trim tool and cable clips for a neat installation.
- Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The charger includes an additional USB port for simultaneous phone charging.
- Connect the 21.3ft rear camera cable to the main dash cam unit and route it to the rear camera, ensuring it is securely connected at both ends.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
The REDTIGER F9 Dash Cam is equipped with a super capacitor, allowing it to automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts, and power off safely after the engine is turned off. This ensures reliable operation without manual intervention.

4.2 Recording Features
- Dual Recording: The front camera records in 4K Ultra HD, while the rear camera records in 1080P Full HD, providing comprehensive coverage.
- Wide Angle & Night Vision: With a 170° wide-angle lens and F1.5 aperture, the dash cam captures a broad view with excellent night vision capabilities.
- Loop Recording: When the memory card is full, the oldest video files are automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings, ensuring continuous operation.

4.3 Smart App Control and WiFi GPS
Connect your dash cam to the REDTIGER app via built-in 5.8GHz WiFi for real-time video viewing, recorded video playback, and GPS information. The app allows for effortless control of the dash camera, eliminating the need for physical buttons.

The built-in GPS module records location, speed, and time data, which can be viewed during playback. This information is crucial for providing evidence in case of incidents.

4.4 G-Sensor and Parking Mode
The integrated G-sensor automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions and locks the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten. The dash cam also supports a 48-hour parking monitor feature, which records even when the vehicle is parked, providing continuous security. Note: The 48-hour parking monitor requires an extra hardwire kit (sold separately).

4.5 One-Click Operation & Detachable Bracket
The F9 dash cam features a one-click lock and unlock video function, allowing you to quickly protect important footage from being overwritten. The unique bracket design also makes the dash cam easy to attach and detach from its mount without loosening the adhesive tape.

4.6 Smart Voice Broadcast
The voice broadcast function provides audible notifications about the dash camera's current status, such as "Recording On," "Recording Off," or "Formatting Completed." A red indicator light will flash during recording and remain solid when recording stops, keeping you informed without needing to look at the device.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Memory Card Management
The dash cam supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB. While loop recording manages storage automatically, it is recommended to periodically format the memory card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the REDTIGER app or the dash cam's settings menu.
5.2 Cleaning
To clean the dash cam's lens and body, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device. Ensure the lenses are clean for clear video recordings.
5.3 Operating Environment
The REDTIGER F9 Dash Cam is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C). Avoid exposing the device to temperatures outside this range for prolonged periods to ensure longevity and proper function.
