5. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Follow these steps carefully to jump start your vehicle:
- Prepare the Jump Starter: Ensure the jump starter is adequately charged.
- Connect the Smart Jump Cable: Insert the blue end of the smart jump cable into the EC5 output port on the jump starter. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect to Vehicle Battery: Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure the clamps make good contact with the battery terminals.
- Activate Boost Function (if needed): If the vehicle battery voltage is extremely low (below 0V), press the "BOOST" button on the smart jump cable. The indicator light on the cable will turn solid green when ready.
- Start the Vehicle: Once the indicator light is solid green, start your vehicle's engine within 30 seconds.
- Remove Cables: After the engine starts, immediately remove the smart jump cable from the vehicle battery terminals, then disconnect the cable from the jump starter unit.
