Setup and Installation

1. Battery Installation

Main Display Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the battery compartment.

Remote Sensors: Open the battery compartment on the back of each remote sensor. Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into each sensor, observing the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.

Note: It is recommended to insert batteries into the remote sensors first, then the main display unit, to ensure proper synchronization.

2. Sensor Placement

Place the main display unit indoors in a central location, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, to get accurate indoor readings.

Position the remote sensors in desired outdoor or indoor locations (e.g., garden, greenhouse, basement, baby room). Ensure sensors are protected from direct rain and sunlight for optimal performance and longevity. The wireless transmission range is up to 200 feet (60 meters) in open air. Walls and obstacles may reduce this range.

Examples of remote sensor placement in various locations

Image: Illustrations showing ideal placements for remote sensors, such as on a patio, outside a window, or in a wine cellar, demonstrating the multi-location monitoring capability.

3. Synchronization

Once batteries are installed, the main unit will automatically search for and connect with the remote sensors. The sensor readings will appear on the respective channels (1, 2, 3) on the main display. If a sensor does not connect, press the "CH/▲" button on the main unit to cycle through channels or press the "MEM/▼" button on the sensor to re-transmit its signal.

Operating Instructions

1. Display Overview

The large LCD display shows indoor temperature and humidity, along with readings from up to three remote sensors (Channel 1, 2, 3). It also indicates Max/Min records, trend arrows, and comfort levels.

2. Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

Press the "MEM/▼" button on the main unit to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

3. Viewing Max/Min Records

Press the "MEM/▼" button repeatedly to cycle through current, maximum (MAX), and minimum (MIN) temperature and humidity records for each channel. The Max/Min data updates every 24 hours.

4. Setting High/Low Alerts

  1. Press and hold the "ALERT" button until the alert icon flashes.
  2. Use the "CH/▲" and "MEM/▼" buttons to adjust the desired high or low temperature/humidity alert value.
  3. Press "ALERT" again to confirm and move to the next setting.
  4. Repeat for all desired alert settings (High Temp, Low Temp, High Humid, Low Humid).
  5. The alarm will sound when the measured value reaches the pre-set alert point.

5. Channel Selection

Press the "CH/▲" button to manually cycle through the remote sensor channels (1, 2, 3) or to enable auto-cycling mode, which displays readings from all connected sensors sequentially.

Maintenance

  • Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not immerse the main unit or sensors in water.
  • Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display on main unit.Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed.Check battery polarity or replace with new AA batteries.
No outdoor readings (dashes on display).Sensor out of range, low sensor battery, or interference.
  • Move sensor closer to the main unit.
  • Replace sensor batteries (AAA).
  • Relocate main unit or sensor away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Press "CH/▲" on main unit to re-scan, or press the button inside the sensor's battery compartment to re-transmit.
Inaccurate readings.Sensor exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or heat sources.Relocate sensor to a shaded, protected area. Ensure proper ventilation around the sensor.
