4.3 Initial Configuration (APN Settings)
For some mobile carriers, you may need to manually configure the Access Point Name (APN) settings to establish an internet connection. This is typically done within the router's web interface under the 'Network' or 'Cellular' settings.
- Log in to the router's web interface.
- Navigate to the 'Network' or 'Cellular' settings section.
- Look for APN settings. You may need to create a new profile or edit an existing one.
- Enter the APN provided by your mobile carrier. For example, T-Mobile Home Internet users might need to set the APN to "fbb.home".
- Save the settings and reboot the router if prompted.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Connecting Devices
- Wi-Fi Connection: Search for the router's Wi-Fi network (SSID) on your device (smartphone, laptop, tablet) and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Ethernet Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from your device to any of the LAN ports on the router.
5.2 Web Interface Navigation
The router's web interface provides comprehensive control over your network settings. Key sections typically include:
- Status: Displays current network status, connected devices, signal strength, and data usage.
- Network Settings: Configure WAN/LAN settings, DHCP server, and cellular network parameters (APN, band locking).
- Wi-Fi Settings: Change Wi-Fi name (SSID), password, security type, and channel settings for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
