4.2 Attaching Contact Points and Silicone Caps
Select the appropriate length of contact points (long or short) based on your dog's fur length. For dogs with thick fur, use longer contact points to ensure proper contact with the skin. Always place silicone caps over the contact points to prevent irritation and ensure comfort.
- Screw the chosen contact points into the receiver.
- Place the corresponding silicone caps over the contact points.
4.3 Fitting the Collar
Proper fit is crucial for the collar's effectiveness and your dog's comfort. The collar should be snug but not too tight, allowing two fingers to fit comfortably between the strap and your dog's neck. The contact points must touch the dog's skin.
- Center the receiver under your dog's chin.
- Adjust the nylon strap to achieve a snug fit.
- Trim any excess strap length if necessary, and use a lighter to seal the edge to prevent fraying.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Turning On/Off the Devices
To turn on the receiver collar, press and hold the power button until the indicator light illuminates. To turn off, press and hold the power button until the light turns off. The remote transmitter typically activates when a button is pressed.
5.2 Training Modes: Static, Vibration, and Tone
The remote offers three distinct training modes, each with 100 adjustable intensity levels:
- Vibration Mode: Delivers a gentle to strong vibration. Use lower levels for initial training.
- Beep Mode: Emits an audible tone. Often used as a warning before other corrections.
- Static Mode: Provides a mild static pulse. Use with caution and at the lowest effective level.
To select a mode, press the corresponding button on the remote. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the intensity level (0-100) for vibration and static modes. The beep mode has a fixed intensity.
