5. Setup
5.1 Inserting the SIM Card and Battery
- Carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
- Insert your SIM card(s) into the designated slot(s) with the gold contacts facing down.
- Place the battery into its compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it clicks into place.
5.2 Charging the Device
- Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the top of the phone.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The battery indicator on the screen will show the charging status. Allow the phone to charge fully before first use.
5.3 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (usually marked with a red phone icon or power symbol) until the screen lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until a power-off option appears on the screen. Select 'Power Off' using the navigation keys and the OK/Select button.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Navigation
- Use the Up/Down navigation keys to scroll through menu options.
- Press the OK/Select button (center navigation key) to confirm a selection or enter a menu.
- Press the Back button (often a left soft key or dedicated button) to return to the previous screen or menu.
6.2 Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the Green Call button.
- Speed Dial: Press and hold one of the P1, P2, or P3 buttons to call the assigned contact.
- To Answer a Call: Press the Green Call button when the phone rings.
- To End a Call: Press the Red End Call button.
- The Emporia Prime-LTE supports 4G VoLTE for high-quality voice calls and reduced background noise. It is also compatible with hearing aids (M4/T4 rating).
6.3 Sending and Receiving SMS Messages

- To Send an SMS: Navigate to the 'Messages' menu, select 'New Message', enter the recipient's number and your text, then send.
- To Read an SMS: New messages will typically appear as a notification. Access the 'Messages' menu to view your inbox.
6.4 Using Direct Function Buttons
- Camera Button: Press the dedicated camera button to quickly launch the camera application.
- Flashlight Button: Press the dedicated flashlight button to turn the LED flashlight on or off.
- Alarm Button: Press the dedicated alarm button to quickly access alarm settings or activate a pre-set alarm.
- Emergency Call Button: Press the emergency button on the back of the phone to activate the emergency call function, which will dial pre-set emergency contacts.
