4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Assembling the Steam Mop

1. Insert the handle into the main body of the steam mop until it clicks into place.
2. Attach the floor brush to the base of the steam mop.
3. Secure a microfiber cloth to the floor brush using the elastic bands or clips.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Open the water tank cap.
3. Using the provided measuring cup, fill the tank with clean tap water, distilled water, or demineralized water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
4. Close the water tank cap securely.

4.3 Initial Power-On

2. Press the ON/OFF button. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the appliance is heating up.

• Press the steam activation button on the handle to release steam.
• Move the steam mop slowly and steadily across the floor surface.

5.2 Using the Portable Steam Cleaner

1. Detach the main steam mop unit from the handle and floor brush to convert it into a portable cleaner.
2. Connect the flexible steam hose and desired accessory (e.g., small brush for grout, concentrator nozzle for tight spaces).
3. Direct the steam at the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance.
4. Wipe away loosened dirt with a clean cloth.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Appliance

• After each use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely.
• Empty any remaining water from the tank.
• Remove and wash the microfiber cloths. They are typically machine washable.
• Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Descaling with Kalstop

To prevent limescale buildup and prolong the life of your Polti Vaporetto SV650_Style, regular descaling with Kalstop anti-limescale accessory is recommended. Kalstop is designed to prevent the formation of scale and is compatible with Polti Vaporella, Polti Vaporetto, Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira, and Polti Unico products.

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged and cool.
2. Open the water tank cap.
3. Add one vial of Kalstop (5ml) to the water tank before filling with water.
4. Fill the tank with water as usual and close the cap.
