Operating Instructions
Opening the Safe
Your safe offers three methods of entry:
- Method 1: Digital Passcode
Enter your 3 to 8 digit passcode on the keypad, then press the '#' or '*' key to confirm. The display will show 'OPEN' and you can turn the knob clockwise to open the door. - Method 2: Emergency Key
This method is primarily for the first-time operation, forgotten passcodes, or dead batteries. Insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the door. - Method 3: External Battery Box
If the internal batteries are dead and you do not have the emergency key readily available, connect the external battery box to the port on the keypad. This will power the keypad, allowing you to enter your digital passcode and open the safe.

Setting/Changing Your Passcode
- With the safe door open, locate the reset button on the side of the battery box inside the safe.
- Press the reset button. The keypad will beep, indicating it's ready for a new code.
- Enter your desired 3 to 8 digit passcode.
- Press the '#' or '*' key to confirm. The safe will beep twice to confirm the new code has been accepted.
- Test the new passcode with the door open before closing it to ensure it works correctly.
Using the Removable Shelf
The safe includes a removable shelf to help organize your items. You can adjust its position or remove it entirely based on your storage needs.
- To install: Slide the shelf into the desired grooves inside the safe.
- To remove: Gently lift the shelf and slide it out of the grooves.

Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the batteries are low, the keypad display may indicate 'LO-BAT' or the lights may dim. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Key Storage: Store emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe itself, but where they can be accessed in an emergency.
