5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Charging the Light Unit

1. Locate the charging port on the light unit. Ensure it is clean and dry.
2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the light unit and a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
3. Allow the unit to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator (if present) will typically change color or turn off when fully charged.

5.2 Inserting Chlorine Tablets

1. Twist the top light unit counter-clockwise to detach it from the chlorine dispenser base.
2. Place 3-inch or 1-inch chlorine tablets into the dispenser compartment. Do not overfill.
3. Carefully reattach the top light unit by aligning the threads and twisting clockwise until securely closed. Ensure a tight seal to prevent tablets from falling out.

5.3 Adjusting Chlorine Flow

The dispenser features an adjustable twist ring at the bottom to control the rate at which chlorine is released into the water.

• Rotate the twist ring to open or close the vents, allowing more or less water to flow through the tablets.
• Adjust the flow based on your pool size and desired chlorine levels.

6. Operation

6.1 Initial Power On

Before using the remote control, you must activate the light unit:

• Locate the ON/OFF button at the bottom of the light unit.
• Press this button to turn the unit on. The light will typically illuminate in a default color.

6.2 Using the Remote Control

The included remote control allows for comprehensive management of the light's functions:

• ON/OFF: Press to turn the light on or off (after initial activation via the bottom button).
• Color Selection: Choose from 16 static colors using the dedicated color buttons.
• Brightness Adjustment: Use the brightness buttons to cycle through 5 levels of illumination.
• Color Changing Modes:
  • FLASH: Rapidly cycles through colors.
  • FADE: Smoothly transitions between colors.
  • SMOOTH: Gradually changes colors with a softer transition.
• Timer Settings: Select 4H, 8H, or 12H to set the light to automatically turn off after the specified duration.

Note: The effective remote control distance is approximately 98 feet (30 meters). Obstructions may reduce this range.

6.3 Placement in Pool

Once assembled and activated, gently place the floater into your pool. It will float on the surface, dispensing chlorine and providing illumination.

7. Maintenance

• Regular Cleaning: Periodically remove the floater from the pool and rinse it with fresh water to remove any chemical residue or debris.
• Recharging: Recharge the light unit as needed to ensure continuous operation. Avoid letting the battery completely drain for extended periods.
• Tablet Replacement: Monitor the chlorine tablet levels and refill the dispenser as required to maintain proper pool sanitation.
