Introduction

The SHARK WD101 HydroVac XL is a versatile 3-in-1 multi-surface cleaner designed to vacuum, mop, and self-clean simultaneously. This corded system is engineered for deep cleaning on various sealed hard floors, including hardwood, tile, marble, and laminate, and is also effective for cleaning area rugs. Its powerful suction and hydro mopping capabilities efficiently remove dirt, debris, wet messes, stains, and grime, leaving surfaces streak-free and quick to dry.

What's Included

Your SHARK WD101 HydroVac XL package includes the following components:

  • Shark HydroVac XL Corded 3-in-1 multi-surface cleaner
  • 1 brushroll* (treated with substance to preserve roller and resist odors)
  • 1 foam filter
  • 1 storage tray

Note: Cleaning solution is not included and must be purchased separately.

Setup

Assembly

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Insert the handle into the main body of the cleaner until it clicks securely into place.

Filling the Clean Water Tank

  1. Press the 'Clean Solution Tank Removal' button located on the top of the main unit to detach the clean water tank.
  2. Unscrew the cap of the clean water tank.
  3. Fill the tank with warm water up to the 'WATER' fill line.
  4. Add the appropriate amount of Shark HydroVac Multi-Surface Concentrate up to the 'HYDROVAC CONCENTRATE' fill line.
  5. Securely screw the cap back onto the tank and reinsert the tank into the main unit until it clicks.

Operating Instructions

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Press the power button located on the handle to turn on the unit.
  3. Select the appropriate cleaning mode (Hard Floor or Area Rug) using the button on the LED display. The LED display will indicate the selected surface type and tank levels.
  4. Tilt the unit back to engage the brushroll and begin cleaning.
  5. Move the cleaner slowly and steadily across the desired surface. The LED headlights will illuminate hidden dirt and grime.

Maintenance

Self-Cleaning Cycle

After each use, place the HydroVac XL on its storage tray and activate the self-clean mode. This continuous self-cleaning system helps prevent dirt from being redeposited on your floors and keeps the brushroll fresh.

  1. Ensure the HydroVac is plugged in and placed on the storage tray.
  2. Press the self-clean button (indicated by a circular arrow icon) on the handle.
  3. The unit will perform a cleaning cycle to rinse the brushroll and internal pathways.

Emptying the Dirty Water Tank

The debris filtration technology in the dirty water tank separates solids from liquids for easy disposal.

  1. Press the dirty water tank release button to remove the tank.
  2. Open the tank lid and carefully pour out the liquid waste.
  3. Remove any solid debris from the filter and rinse the tank thoroughly with water.
  4. Reinstall the dirty water tank into the unit.

Troubleshooting

Unit Not Dispensing Liquid

  • Ensure the clean water tank is properly filled and securely seated in the unit.
  • Check for any blockages in the solution dispensing nozzles.
  • Run a self-clean cycle while the unit is on its storage tray. This can help flush out any blockages in the internal lines.
