Setup
The MageGee STAR75 keyboard is a wired device designed for plug-and-play functionality. Follow these steps to set up your keyboard:
- Unpack the Keyboard: Carefully remove the keyboard and all accessories from its packaging.
- Connect the USB Cable: Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard and the USB-A connector on the cable. Insert the USB-C end into the keyboard and the USB-A end into an available USB port on your computer.
- Driver Installation: The keyboard is plug-and-play and typically does not require additional driver installation. Your operating system should automatically recognize the device.
- Placement: Position the keyboard comfortably on your desk. Utilize the two-step adjustable feet on the underside for your preferred typing angle.

Operating Instructions
Keyboard Layout and Keys
The STAR75 features a compact 75% layout with 83 keys, including dedicated arrow keys. This design optimizes desktop space while retaining essential functionality comparable to a full-size keyboard. The linear yellow switches provide a sensitive and smooth typing experience with reduced audible feedback, ideal for both gaming and prolonged typing sessions. The keyboard supports 100% anti-ghosting, ensuring every keystroke is registered accurately.

Backlight Control
The keyboard features ice blue backlighting with 18 distinct lighting modes. You can customize the lighting to suit your preference:
- Switch Light Modes: Press Fn + Ins to cycle through the 18 available lighting modes.
- Adjust Light Brightness: Press Fn + Up Arrow to increase brightness, and Fn + Down Arrow to decrease brightness (5 levels available).
- Adjust Light Speed: Press Fn + Left Arrow to decrease speed, and Fn + Right Arrow to increase speed (4 levels available).
- Turn On/Off Light: Press Fn + Del to toggle the backlight on or off.

2-in-1 Multifunctional Knob
The knob located on the top right corner of the keyboard serves a dual purpose, controlling both audio and backlight settings:
- Switch Modes: Long press the knob to switch between Audio Mode and Backlight Mode.
- In Audio Mode (default, indicator M not lit): Rotate the knob left/right to adjust volume. Press the knob to pause/play media.
- In Backlight Mode (indicator M lit): Rotate the knob left/right to adjust light brightness. Press the knob to switch light effects.

Ergonomics and Customization
The keyboard is designed for comfort during extended use:
- Adjustable Typing Angle: Stepped keycaps and two-step legs allow you to adjust the keyboard's angle, reducing wrist stress.
- Sound Dampening: A double layer of sound deadening construction, including EVA interlayer foam and bottom foam, minimizes internal noise.
- Custom Keycaps: The keyboard comes with a simple black & white keycap color scheme, along with an additional 16 red keycaps for DIY customization.
