4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The AQUINNA PX-C pump requires two 18V Power X-Change batteries for operation. Batteries and charger are sold separately. For optimal performance, 2 x 4.0 Ah batteries or higher are recommended.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two charged 18V Power X-Change batteries into their respective slots. Ensure they click securely into place.
- Close the battery compartment cover firmly to protect the batteries from water and dust.

4.2. Hose Connections
Connect the intake and discharge hoses securely to the pump.
- The intake side connection is 1-1/4" NPT male.
- The pressure side connection is 1" NPT female - 3/4" 11.5 GHT male.
- Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks and maintain suction.
- It is recommended to use an inner hose with a check valve on the intake side to prevent backflow and aid in priming.
4.3. Priming the Pump
Before first use or after the pump has run dry, it must be primed:
- Ensure the intake hose is submerged in the water source.
- Locate the water filler screw on the pump.
- Unscrew the water filler screw and slowly fill the pump housing with water until it is full.
- Replace and tighten the water filler screw.
- The pump is now ready for operation.
5. Operation
5.1. Starting the Pump
- Ensure the pump is properly set up and primed.
- Place the pump on a stable, level surface near your water source.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to start the pump.
5.2. ECO Switch Functionality
The ECO switch allows you to choose between two operating modes:
- ECO Mode: Provides reduced delivery pressure, which extends battery runtime. Ideal for lighter watering tasks.
- BOOST Mode: Delivers full power for maximum flow rate and pressure. Suitable for demanding applications.

Figure 5.2: Approximate battery runtime in BOOST mode for various Power X-Change battery capacities (2x18V configuration).
5.3. Water Transfer
Once the pump is running, water will be drawn from the source and delivered through the discharge hose. Monitor the water flow and adjust the ECO switch as needed for your application.

6. Maintenance
6.1. General Cleaning
After each use, especially when pumping dirty water, flush the pump with clean water to prevent sediment buildup. Wipe down the exterior of the pump with a damp cloth.
6.2. Frost Protection
To protect the pump from frost damage during cold seasons:
- Disconnect the batteries.
- Unscrew the water drain screw located at the bottom of the pump.
- Allow all water to drain completely from the pump housing.
- Replace and tighten the water drain screw.
- Store the pump in a frost-free environment.
