Adamson B10 Bed Cooling System Instruction Manual

Model: B10

1. Setup Instructions

1.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present before proceeding with assembly.

1.2 Unit Placement

Place the main unit on a stable, flat surface. For optimal water flow, ensure the unit is positioned at the same level or higher than the mattress pad. Avoid placing the unit on the floor if the mattress pad is elevated.

1.3 Connecting the Mattress Pad

Unroll the mattress pad and place it on your bed. Connect the hoses from the main unit to the designated ports on the mattress pad. Ensure connections are secure to prevent leaks.

1.4 Filling the Water Tank

Open the water inlet on the main unit. Fill the tank with approximately 1/2 gallon (2 liters) of distilled water. Do not overfill. Ensure the cap is securely closed after filling.

1.5 Initial Operation

After connecting and filling, power on the unit. Allow a few minutes for the water to circulate and the system to stabilize. The mattress pad will begin to cool.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Control Panel Overview

The unit features a control panel with buttons for power, fan speed, fan cycle, timer, and negative ion function. Refer to the icons on the panel for specific functions.

2.2 Adjusting Fan Speed

Press the 'Fan Speed' button to cycle through available fan speed settings (F1-F4). F1 is the lowest speed, and F4 is the highest. Higher speeds result in more rapid cooling and increased fan noise.

2.3 Fan Cycle Modes

The 'Fan Cycle' button allows selection of various operational modes, such as continuous operation or timed intervals (e.g., run for 3 minutes, off for 3 minutes). Choose the mode that best suits your comfort and energy preferences.

2.4 Timer Function

Use the 'Timer' button to set a specific duration for the unit to operate before automatically shutting off.

2.5 Negative Ion Function

Activate the 'Negative Ion' function for air purification. This feature can be used independently or in conjunction with cooling.

3. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Adamson B10 Bed Cooling System.

3.1 Draining the Unit

To drain the unit, remove the nozzle at the base. Allow all water to exit the system. This should be done periodically, especially before long periods of non-use.

3.2 Cleaning the Mattress Pad

Once a month, or as needed, hang the mattress pad to allow any residual water to fully drain and dry. This helps prevent odor and mold buildup. The mattress pad is made of 100% cotton and can be machine washed according to care instructions.

3.3 Water Quality

Using distilled water is recommended to minimize mineral buildup and maintain system efficiency. If using tap water, consider adding a few drops of laundry sanitizer additive weekly to prevent odor and buildup.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1 Leaks

If leaks occur, first check all hose connections to ensure they are securely fastened. Verify that the water tank cap is tightly closed. Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface and not overfilled. Initial leaks may occur during the first use as the system primes; place a towel underneath to catch any drips.

4.2 Insufficient Cooling

Ensure the water tank is adequately filled. Check that the fan speed is set to a desired level. Verify that the mattress pad is properly connected and water is circulating. The system cools the mattress pad by 7 to 12 °F, not to Arctic levels, and is not a substitute for room air conditioning.

4.3 Noise Levels

The unit's fan speed directly impacts noise levels. Lower fan speeds (F1-F2) produce less noise. Ensure the unit is on a stable surface to minimize vibrations.
