1. Product Overview

This KOMFOTT Twin Over Twin Bunk Bed is designed to provide a space-saving sleeping solution, ideal for children's rooms, guest rooms, or dormitories. Constructed from solid rubber wood, it offers stability and durability. A key feature is its convertible design, allowing it to be separated into two individual twin beds for flexible use as needs change. The bunk bed includes an inclined ladder for easy access to the upper bunk and full-length guardrails for enhanced safety.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before assembly and use of this bunk bed. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury.

• Weight Capacity: The upper berth has a maximum weight capacity of 330 lbs. The lower berth has a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. The ladder has a maximum weight capacity of 331 lbs. Do not exceed these limits.
• Guardrails: The upper bunk is equipped with full-length guardrails on both sides. Ensure these are securely installed at all times to prevent falls.
• Ladder: Always ensure the inclined ladder is securely attached to the upper bed before use.
• Mattress: Use only mattresses that comply with the recommended thickness of 5"-7" for both upper and lower bunks. Ensure the mattress on the upper bunk is below the top edge of the guardrails.
• Assembly: Assembly must be performed by adults. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely before use and periodically check for tightness.
• General Use: Do not allow children under 6 years of age on the upper bunk. Prohibit horseplay on or under the bed. Always use the ladder for entering and exiting the upper bunk.

3. Setup and Assembly

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Standard Bunk Bed Configuration

Once assembled, the bunk bed provides two sleeping surfaces. The inclined ladder allows safe and convenient access to the upper bunk. Ensure the ladder is always firmly in place before climbing.

4.2. Convertible Design: Separating into Two Twin Beds

This bunk bed can be easily separated into two individual twin-sized beds. This feature provides flexibility for different room layouts or as children grow. Refer to your installation manual for specific steps on how to safely convert the bunk bed into two separate units.

4.3. Under-Bed Storage

The design includes approximately 13 inches of clearance underneath the lower bed, providing ample space for storage of sundries, boxes, or small suitcases, helping to keep your room tidy.

Proper maintenance will extend the life and ensure the safety of your bunk bed.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Environmental Conditions: Avoid direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these can damage the wood finish.
• Fastener Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and other fasteners to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain structural integrity and prevent wobbling.
• Structural Inspection: Regularly inspect the bed frame, slats, ladder, and guardrails for any signs of damage, cracks, or wear. Discontinue use if any significant damage is found and contact customer support.

If you encounter any issues with your bunk bed, consider the following common solutions:

• Wobbling or Instability: This is most commonly caused by loose fasteners. Carefully re-tighten all bolts and screws throughout the frame. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
• Squeaking Noises: Squeaking can often be resolved by tightening all assembly hardware. Applying a small amount of furniture wax or silicone spray to joints (avoiding areas that bear weight directly) can also help.
• Ladder Feels Loose: Ensure the ladder hooks are fully engaged with the upper bunk rail and that any securing bolts are tightened.
