Thank you for choosing the atolla T201-100 Laser Distance Meter. This device is designed for precise and efficient measurement of distances, areas, and volumes. 2. Safety Information
This device uses a Class II laser with an output of less than 1mW. Adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Do not stare directly into the laser beam.
- Do not aim the laser beam at people or animals.
- Avoid direct eye exposure to the laser beam.
- Keep the device out of reach of children.
- Do not attempt to modify or disassemble the device.
3. Product Overview
The atolla T201-100 is a compact and robust laser distance meter featuring a high-visibility backlit LCD and dual horizontal bubble levels for enhanced accuracy. It is constructed from durable plastic and is resistant to water and dust (IP54 rated).

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The device requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device.
- Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press the ON/READ button once. The display will light up.
- Power Off: Long press the OFF/Return button. The device will automatically power off after 150 seconds of inactivity.
5.2. Basic Distance Measurement
- Press the ON/READ button once to activate the laser.
- Aim the laser dot at the target point.
- Press the ON/READ button again to take the measurement. The result will be displayed on the screen.
5.3. Changing Measurement Reference Point
The device allows you to set the measurement reference point from either the front or the rear of the device. The default is usually the rear. Press the Reference/Mute button to toggle between front and rear reference points. An icon on the display will indicate the current reference point.

5.4. Continuous Measurement (Min/Max)
This mode allows for dynamic measurement, displaying the minimum and maximum distances as you move the device. This is useful for finding the shortest or longest distance to a target.
- Press the MEAS button (or the button with multiple squares icon) repeatedly until the continuous measurement icon appears.
- Press ON/READ to start continuous measurement.
- Move the device slowly. The display will show real-time, minimum, and maximum distances.
- Press ON/READ again to stop.

5.5. Area, Volume, and Pythagorean Measurement
The device supports various advanced measurement functions:
- Area Measurement: Press the MEAS button until the area icon (rectangle) appears. Measure the length and width sequentially. The device will calculate and display the area.
- Volume Measurement: Press the MEAS button until the volume icon (cube) appears. Measure length, width, and height sequentially. The device will calculate and display the volume.
- Pythagorean Measurement: Press the MEAS button until the Pythagorean icon (triangle) appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to measure the required sides (hypotenuse and one leg) to indirectly calculate the third side.

5.6. Addition and Subtraction of Measurements
You can add or subtract measurements directly on the device:
- Take the first measurement.
- Press the + button for addition or the - button for subtraction.
- Take the second measurement. The device will display the calculated sum or difference.
5.7. Unit Conversion
The device supports multiple units of measurement (feet, meters, inches, feet+inches). Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available units.

5.8. Memory Storage
The atolla T201-100 can store up to 20 sets of measurement data. Use the History button to access and review stored measurements.

5.9. Mute Function
For quiet environments, the device features a mute function. Press the Reference/Mute button (long press) to toggle the sound on or off.
6. Maintenance
- Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the laser lens clean to ensure accurate measurements.
- Store the device in a dry, cool place when not in use.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Inaccurate measurements: Ensure the laser lens is clean and free from obstructions. Verify the measurement reference point is correctly set.
- Error message on display: Refer to the specific error code in the full product manual (if available) or contact customer support.
