Setup and Connection

The Symcode barcode scanner offers three primary connection methods: USB Wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4G Wireless. Choose the method that best suits your operational needs.

Connection Methods Overview

1. USB Wired Connection

1. Connect the USB cable to the scanner's port.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
3. The scanner will be recognized automatically by your system and is ready for use.

2. Bluetooth Connection

1. Ensure the scanner is powered on.
2. Long press the trigger button for 8 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to Bluetooth settings and search for "BarCode Scanner".
4. Select "BarCode Scanner" to pair. Once connected, the indicator light will become solid.

3. 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Insert the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
2. Power on the barcode scanner.
3. The scanner will automatically connect to the dongle. A successful connection is indicated by a solid light on the scanner.
4. The transmission distance can reach up to 200m in open areas and 30m in environments with obstacles.

Operating Modes

The Symcode barcode scanner supports various operating modes to adapt to different scanning environments and user preferences.

1. Manual Trigger Mode

In this mode, you must press the trigger button each time you want to scan a barcode. This is ideal for precise, controlled scanning.

2. Continuous Scanning Mode

The scanner continuously emits a scan beam, allowing for rapid, hands-free scanning of multiple barcodes without repeatedly pressing the trigger.

3. Automatic Sensing Mode (Auto-Sense)

When the scanner is placed on its stand, it automatically switches to auto-sense mode. The scanner will activate its beam and scan a barcode as soon as it detects one in its field of view, eliminating the need to press any buttons. When removed from the stand, it reverts to manual trigger mode.

Two Pairing Modes

• One-to-one Mode: One scanner transmits barcode data to a single USB receiver.
