4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your AWOW AK10 Mini PC:
- Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB keyboard and mouse to the available USB ports.
- Connect Display: Connect your monitor or TV to the Mini PC using either the HDMI or DisplayPort cable. For dual display, connect both.
- Connect to Network (Optional): For a wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port. For wireless, you will configure WiFi after initial boot.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC 12V input port on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
- Power On: Press the power button on the front panel. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Initial Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language, region, network connection, and user account creation.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off and Restart
- Power On: Press the power button once.
- Shut Down: Click the Windows Start button, then select Power > Shut down.
- Restart: Click the Windows Start button, then select Power > Restart.
- Force Shut Down: If the system is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the device powers off.
5.2. Network Connectivity
- Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port. The system will automatically detect and connect to the wired network.
- Wireless Connection (WiFi):
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
- Select your desired network from the list.
- Enter the network password if prompted, then click Connect.
5.3. Dual Display Setup
The AWOW AK10 supports dual 4K@60Hz displays via its HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. This allows for extended desktop or mirrored display configurations, enhancing productivity.
- Connect your primary monitor to either the HDMI or DisplayPort.
- Connect your secondary monitor to the remaining video output port.
- Once both monitors are connected and powered on, Windows should automatically detect them.
- To configure display settings (e.g., extend, duplicate, resolution), right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.

6. Storage Expansion
The AWOW AK10 Mini PC supports storage expansion by adding a 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD (up to 2TB). This allows you to increase your storage capacity for files, applications, and media.
- Power Off: Ensure the Mini PC is completely powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.
- Open Case: Carefully remove the screws on the bottom panel of the Mini PC to access the internal components.
- Install 2.5" Drive: Connect your 2.5-inch SATA SSD/HDD to the provided SATA cable and secure it in the designated bay.
- Close Case: Reattach the bottom panel and secure it with the screws.
- Initialize Drive: After powering on, you may need to initialize and format the new drive in Windows Disk Management before it can be used.

7. Maintenance

- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. For dust accumulation in vents, use compressed air. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
- Software Updates: Regularly check for and install Windows updates and driver updates to ensure system stability and security.
- Fan Management: The Mini PC features an efficient cooling system. While fan settings are optimized, advanced users can adjust fan curves in the BIOS if necessary to manage noise levels or cooling performance.
