1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AWOW AK10 Mini PC. This compact and powerful desktop computer is designed for various applications, from office work and home entertainment to specialized network functions. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device. Please read it carefully before use.

3.1. Front and Rear Panel Ports

4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your AWOW AK10 Mini PC:

  1. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB keyboard and mouse to the available USB ports.
  2. Connect Display: Connect your monitor or TV to the Mini PC using either the HDMI or DisplayPort cable. For dual display, connect both.
  3. Connect to Network (Optional): For a wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port. For wireless, you will configure WiFi after initial boot.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC 12V input port on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  5. Power On: Press the power button on the front panel. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Initial Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language, region, network connection, and user account creation.

The AWOW AK10 supports dual 4K@60Hz displays via its HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. This allows for extended desktop or mirrored display configurations, enhancing productivity.

  1. Connect your primary monitor to either the HDMI or DisplayPort.
  2. Connect your secondary monitor to the remaining video output port.
  3. Once both monitors are connected and powered on, Windows should automatically detect them.
  4. To configure display settings (e.g., extend, duplicate, resolution), right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.

6. Storage Expansion

The AWOW AK10 Mini PC supports storage expansion by adding a 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD (up to 2TB). This allows you to increase your storage capacity for files, applications, and media.

  1. Power Off: Ensure the Mini PC is completely powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.
  2. Open Case: Carefully remove the screws on the bottom panel of the Mini PC to access the internal components.
  3. Install 2.5" Drive: Connect your 2.5-inch SATA SSD/HDD to the provided SATA cable and secure it in the designated bay.
  4. Close Case: Reattach the bottom panel and secure it with the screws.
  5. Initialize Drive: After powering on, you may need to initialize and format the new drive in Windows Disk Management before it can be used.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AWOW AK10 Mini PC, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

No display on monitor
  • Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
  • Check that video cables (HDMI/DP) are securely connected to both the Mini PC and the monitor.
  • Try a different video cable or monitor if available.
Mini PC does not power on
  • Verify the power adapter is correctly connected to the Mini PC and a working power outlet.
  • Ensure the power button is pressed firmly.
  • If still no power, try a different power outlet.
No network connection
  • For wired connection, check the Ethernet cable and router status.
  • For Wi-Fi, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings and you are connected to the correct network with the correct password.
  • Restart your router/modem.
System is slow or unresponsive
  • Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
  • Check for and install any pending Windows updates.
  • Ensure there is sufficient free space on the primary drive.
  • Consider performing a system restore or reinstalling Windows if issues persist.
BIOS issues / System won't bootPress the CMOS CLR button on the front panel (use a paperclip) to reset BIOS settings to default. This can resolve boot issues caused by incorrect BIOS configurations.
