The TICONN Keyless Entry Deadbolt is designed for easy installation and can replace most standard mechanical deadbolts. Ensure your door meets the following specifications:

4.1. Prepare the Door

  1. If replacing an existing deadbolt, remove it.
  2. Check door dimensions against the provided template. If drilling new holes, use the template for accurate placement.

4.2. Install the Latch

  1. Adjust the latch backset to either 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) by twisting the latch mechanism as needed.
  2. Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the 'UP' arrow faces upwards. Secure it with the provided screws.

4.3. Install the Exterior Keypad Assembly

  1. Feed the cable from the exterior keypad assembly through the hole in the door.
  2. Align the tailpiece with the center hole of the latch.
  3. Press the exterior assembly flush against the door.

4.4. Install the Interior Assembly

  1. Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the port on the interior assembly.
  2. Ensure the tailpiece is correctly inserted into the rotating mechanism of the interior assembly.
  3. Secure the interior assembly to the door using the long mounting screws, ensuring it is vertical and stable.

4.5. Install the Strike Plate

  1. Install the strike plate into the door frame, aligning it with the deadbolt latch.
  2. Secure with the provided screws. Ensure the deadbolt extends and retracts smoothly into the strike plate.

4.6. Install Batteries

  1. Remove the battery cover from the interior assembly.
  2. Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
  3. Replace the battery cover. The lock will beep, indicating it is powered on.

5. Programming

Before programming, ensure the lock is in its default state. If not, perform a factory reset by holding the reset button (usually a small hole on the interior assembly) while inserting the last battery until you hear a beep.

5.1. Set the Master Code

The master code is used to program the lock and should be kept confidential. It must be 4-10 digits long.

  1. Press the 'TICONN' button once.
  2. Enter the default master code (usually '123456' or as specified in a separate quick start guide).
  3. Press the 'TICONN' button again.
  4. Press '1' to enter master code setting mode.
  5. Enter your new 4-10 digit master code.
  6. Press the 'TICONN' button to confirm.

5.2. Add User Codes

You can program up to 20 unique user codes, each 4-10 digits long.

  1. Press the 'TICONN' button once.
  2. Enter your Master Code.
  3. Press the 'TICONN' button again.
  4. Press '2' to enter user code setting mode.
  5. Enter a new 4-10 digit user code.
  6. Press the 'TICONN' button to confirm.
  7. Repeat for additional user codes.

5.3. Delete User Codes

To delete a specific user code:

  1. Press the 'TICONN' button once.
  2. Enter your Master Code.
  3. Press the 'TICONN' button again.
  4. Press '3' to enter delete user code mode.
  5. Enter the user code you wish to delete.
  6. Press the 'TICONN' button to confirm.

5.4. One-Time PIN Code

A one-time PIN code can be set for temporary access, which will expire after one use.

  1. Press the 'TICONN' button once.
  2. Enter your Master Code.
  3. Press the 'TICONN' button again.
  4. Press '4' to enter one-time PIN code setting mode.
  5. Enter a new 4-10 digit one-time PIN code.
  6. Press the 'TICONN' button to confirm.

5.5. Auto-Lock Function

The auto-lock feature automatically locks the deadbolt after a set delay (10-99 seconds) once unlocked.

  1. Press the 'TICONN' button once.
  2. Enter your Master Code.
  3. Press the 'TICONN' button again.
  4. Press '5' to enter auto-lock setting mode.
  5. Enter the desired delay time in seconds (e.g., '10' for 10 seconds).
  6. Press the 'TICONN' button to confirm.

5.6. Anti-Peep Password

To prevent others from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual user code.

  1. Press any random digits (up to 6 digits).
  2. Enter your valid User Code.
  3. Press any random digits (up to 6 digits).
  4. Press the 'TICONN' button to unlock.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Unlocking with a Code

  1. Enter your valid User Code (or Master Code).
  2. Press the 'TICONN' button. The deadbolt will retract, and the door will unlock.

6.2. Unlocking with a Key

  1. Insert one of the provided spare keys into the key cylinder.
  2. Turn the key to retract the deadbolt.

6.3. Manual Locking

  1. From the exterior, press and hold the 'TICONN' button for 2 seconds. The deadbolt will extend.
  2. From the interior, turn the thumb-turn knob to extend the deadbolt.

When the batteries are low, the lock will emit a series of beeps after unlocking or locking. Replace all four AA alkaline batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
