Important Safety Precautions

Setup and Installation

Countertop Use

For countertop use, simply attach the provided rubber feet to the bottom of the cooktop. These feet elevate the unit, preventing direct contact with your counter surface and allowing for proper ventilation. Place the cooktop on a stable, flat surface away from flammable materials.

Built-in Installation

If you prefer a built-in installation, ensure you have a countertop opening of the correct dimensions. The required cutout dimensions are approximately 19.3 inches (length) x 10.63 inches (width). Use the provided fixing brackets to secure the cooktop into the countertop. Ensure adequate air intake and exhaust (at least 10mm clearance) as specified in the manual to prevent overheating.

Power On/Off

  • To turn on, press the ON/OFF button. The display will light up.
  • To turn off, press the ON/OFF button again.

Adjusting Heat Levels

  • Large Burner: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select heat levels from 1 to 9.
  • Small Burner: Offers two settings: 'L' for low heat (suitable for keeping warm, heating milk/coffee) and 'HI' for high heat.

Timer Function

  • Press the TIMER button to activate the timer.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired cooking time, up to 99 minutes.
  • The cooktop will automatically shut off once the timer expires.

Child Safety Lock

  • To activate the child lock, press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for a few seconds until the lock indicator appears.
  • To deactivate, repeat the process. This prevents accidental operation.

Pause Function

  • Press the PAUSE button to temporarily stop cooking. The cooktop will maintain its current settings.
  • Press PAUSE again to resume cooking.

Keep Warm Function

  • The small burner has a dedicated "Keep Warm" setting, ideal for maintaining food temperature without overcooking.

Hot Surface Indicator ('H')

After turning off a burner, an 'H' will appear on the display, indicating that the surface is still hot. Do not touch the cooktop until the 'H' disappears, signifying that the surface has cooled to a safe temperature.

Troubleshooting
