Setup
Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the radio's internal 4000 mAh battery using the supplied Micro USB cable. Connect the cable to the radio's Micro USB input and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will illuminate.
Antenna Extension
For optimal radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. Adjust its position for the best signal clarity.
Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
- Press the POWER button to turn the radio on or off.

- Select Mode: Press the MODE button to switch between DAB+, DAB, and FM radio modes.
- Auto Scan: In DAB/DAB+ or FM mode, press and hold the INFO/SCAN button to initiate an automatic scan for available stations. The radio will store found stations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the +/- buttons to manually tune to frequencies or navigate through scanned stations.
- Preset Stations:
- To store a station: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the PRESET/STORE button. Use the +/- buttons to select a preset number (1-30), then press PRESET/STORE again to confirm.
- To recall a station: Press the PRESET/RECALL button, then use the +/- buttons to select the desired preset number.
- RDS Information (FM): In FM mode, the display may show RDS information such as station name or program details.
Bluetooth Operation

- Enter Bluetooth Mode: Press the MODE button until "Bluetooth" or a Bluetooth icon appears on the display. The radio will enter pairing mode.
- Pairing: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "ROCAM Radio" (or similar name). Once paired, the radio will indicate a successful connection.
- Play Audio: Play music, podcasts, or audiobooks from your connected device. Audio will stream through the radio's speaker.

- Flashlight: Press the flashlight button (often marked with a light icon) to cycle through the 5 modes: High, Medium, Low, Strobe, and SOS.
- Reading Lamp: Fold out the solar panel to activate the integrated LED reading lamp.

- Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered device to the radio's USB output port using a compatible charging cable. The radio's internal battery will act as a power bank.
SOS Alarm
- Press the SOS button to activate a loud alarm sound and flashing light signal for emergency situations. Press again to deactivate.
Power Sources
The radio can be powered and charged via three methods:
- Micro USB Charging: Connect the supplied Micro USB cable to a USB power source.
- Solar Charging: Place the radio with its solar panel facing direct sunlight. This method is primarily for maintaining battery charge or slow charging.
- Hand Crank Charging: Rotate the hand crank on the bottom of the radio clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace to generate power. Crank for at least 1-3 minutes to gain sufficient power for short-term use.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Water Resistance: The radio is IPX4 water-resistant, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. Do not submerge the radio in water. Ensure the port flap is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the radio in a cool, dry place and charge it periodically if not used for extended periods.
