Setup Instructions
- Placement: Position the litter box on a flat, stable surface in a suitable location. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper operation and access.
- Assembly: Attach the four support legs to the base of the main body. Insert the waste drawer into its designated slot.
- Litter Preparation: Fill the litter compartment with a suitable cat litter. This product is optimized for mixed cat litter or bentonite cat litter. If using tofu cat litter or other types longer than 3 cm, it is recommended to break them up to prevent the rake from shoveling clean litter into the waste box.
- Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the litter box and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
- App Connection (Optional but Recommended):
Download the ELS PET app from your smartphone's app store. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your litter box to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz only). This enables remote monitoring and control.

Operating Instructions
Automatic Cleaning Cycle
The ELS PET litter box is designed to automatically clean itself after your cat uses it. Sensors detect when a cat enters and exits the unit. After a set delay, the internal rake system will activate to sift through the litter, separating waste into the enclosed waste drawer.
Safety Protection System
The litter box incorporates multiple safety features to protect your cat:
- Cat Detection Sensors: If a cat re-enters the litter box during a cleaning cycle, the process will immediately pause until the cat has left.
- Door Mechanism: The safety door prevents operation if not properly assembled or if there is a blockage.
- Anti-Pinch Design: Mechanisms are in place to prevent injury during movement.

- Red Light:
- Steady On: Indicates pedal shift.
- Flash: Cat litter sticking to the bottom.
- Fast Flash: Machine malfunction.
- Green Light:
- Steady On: Standby mode.
- Fast Flash: Initiating shoveling of cat litter.
- Blue Light:

Odor Reduction and Air Purification
The litter box is designed to reduce odors by regularly cleaning and containing waste. It also features a light air purification system to further enhance freshness.

Night Mode
For quiet operation during nighttime hours, the litter box can be set to Night Mode, reducing noise levels to below 8dB. In this mode, the machine enters sleep mode, turns off the light, and stops working to avoid disturbance.

Maintenance
Emptying the Waste Drawer
The waste drawer should be emptied regularly depending on the number of cats and their usage. The large 60L capacity allows for longer periods between cleanings. To empty, simply pull out the waste drawer, seal the waste bag, and dispose of it. Replace with a new waste bag.

Cleaning the Unit
Periodically, the interior and exterior of the litter box should be cleaned. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not submerge the unit in water. The included cleaning brush can be used for the rake and other internal components.
Litter Replacement
Completely replace the cat litter as needed, typically every 2-4 weeks, or as recommended by your litter type. Ensure the litter level is maintained between the minimum and maximum fill lines.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ELS PET Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Door not closing fully / Rake stuck | Obstruction in door path; sensor issue; mechanical fault. | Check for any litter clumps or foreign objects blocking the door or rake. Clean the sensors. If the issue persists, unplug the unit for 30 seconds and plug it back in to reset. |
| Unit not cleaning automatically | Sensors obstructed or malfunctioning; power interruption; unit in sleep mode. | Ensure sensors are clean. Verify power connection. Check if Night Mode is active. Perform a manual cleaning cycle via the control panel or app. |
| Strong odors despite cleaning | Waste drawer full; litter type unsuitable; unit requires deeper cleaning. | Empty the waste drawer more frequently. Ensure you are using recommended litter types. Perform a thorough cleaning of the entire unit. Replace deodorization boxes if applicable. |
| App connectivity issues | Incorrect Wi-Fi password; 5GHz Wi-Fi network; weak signal. | Ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz. Re-enter Wi-Fi credentials in the app. Move the unit closer to your Wi-Fi router. Restart your router. |
