Controls and Indicators

The headset features user-friendly buttons and an LED indicator on the ear cups for easy control and status updates.

  • Power Button: Used to turn the headset on/off and initiate Bluetooth pairing.
  • Volume Up/Next Track Button: Press briefly to increase volume; press and hold to skip to the next track.
  • Volume Down/Previous Track Button: Press briefly to decrease volume; press and hold to go to the previous track.
  • Multi-function Button (Play/Pause/Call): Press briefly to play/pause audio or answer/end calls. Press and hold to reject an incoming call.
  • LED Indicator: Displays charging status (red for charging, off when fully charged) and Bluetooth pairing status (flashing blue/red for pairing mode, slow blue flash for connected).
  • Micro-USB Port: For charging the headset.
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack: For wired connection using the Aux-T cable.
  • Microphone: Integrated for hands-free calls.

Setup

1. Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset.

  1. Connect the micro-USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the headset.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicator will glow red during charging.
  4. The LED indicator will turn off once charging is complete.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

To connect the headset wirelessly to your device:

  1. Ensure the headset is turned off.
  2. Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  4. Search for available devices. Select "Califone BH-202" from the list.
  5. Once paired, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly. You will also hear an audible confirmation.
  6. If prompted for a password, enter "0000".

3. Wired Connection (Aux-T Cable)

For devices without Bluetooth or when battery is low, use the provided 3.5mm Aux-T cable.

  1. Plug one end of the 3.5mm Aux-T cable into the 3.5mm audio jack on the headset.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output jack of your device.
  3. The headset will automatically switch to wired mode. Bluetooth functionality will be disabled.
  4. Note: Volume control may be managed by the connected device or via the cord volume control if present on the Aux-T cable.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue and you hear a power-on tone.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED flashes red and you hear a power-off tone.

Volume Control

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up Button briefly.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down Button briefly.

Playback Control (Bluetooth Mode)

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function Button briefly.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up Button.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down Button.

Call Management (Bluetooth Mode)

  • Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-function Button briefly during an incoming call or to end an active call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for approximately 2 seconds during an incoming call.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multi-function Button.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headset with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the headset regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
