Setup Instructions
Your OLEVS Model 6633 watch is an automatic mechanical timepiece that does not require a battery. It is powered by the motion of your wrist. Before initial use or after a period of inactivity, it may require manual winding.
1. Initial Winding
To start the watch, gently rotate the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a power reserve. The watch will then continue to wind itself with your daily wrist movements.
2. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to the furthest position (position 2, as indicated in Figure 3).
- Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Push the crown back in to its original position (position 0).
3. Setting the Date, Day, and Month
The watch features sub-dials for day, date, and month, along with a moon phase indicator. Refer to Figure 3 for button locations.
- Adjusting the Month: Use the 'Adjust month button' (top right button) to advance the month.
- Adjusting the Date: Use the 'Adjust calendar button' (bottom right button) to advance the date.
- Adjusting the Year and Week: Use the 'Left function dark button' (recessed button on the left side, requires a small tool like a toothpick) to adjust the year and week.
Caution: Avoid adjusting the date, day, or month between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement while the gears are engaged in the automatic date change process.
Operating Instructions
Automatic Winding
Once initially wound, the watch will continue to operate as long as it is worn regularly. The natural motion of your wrist provides the necessary energy to keep the mainspring wound. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (typically 24-48 hours), it may stop and require manual winding to restart.
Luminous Display
The watch hands and markers are treated with a luminous material that absorbs light and glows in the dark, providing visibility in low-light conditions. Exposure to bright light will enhance the glow.
Maintenance
Water Resistance
The OLEVS Model 6633 watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it can withstand splashes of water or brief immersion. However, it is not suitable for bathing, swimming, diving, or any activities involving prolonged water exposure or high-pressure water. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields, which can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
Troubleshooting
- Watch not running or stopping frequently: This is common for automatic watches if not worn regularly. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times. Ensure you wear the watch for at least 8 hours a day for consistent self-winding.
- Time is inaccurate: Mechanical watches can have slight variations in accuracy. If the time is consistently off, ensure it is fully wound. If the issue persists, it may require professional adjustment.
- Date/Day/Month not changing: Check if the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle. Ensure adjustments are not made during the restricted hours (9:00 PM - 3:00 AM).
- Condensation under the crystal: This indicates a potential breach in water resistance. Avoid further water exposure and seek professional service immediately.
