1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Lepmerk Metal Detector. Designed for both adults and kids, this high-precision, waterproof metal detector features a pinpoint function, LCD display, and a 10-inch detection range, making it ideal for locating gold, silver, coins, and other treasures.

2. Package Contents

Upon opening your package, please verify that all components listed below are present and in good condition:

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your metal detector:

  1. Attach the Search Coil: Connect the 10-inch search coil to the lower end of the adjustable telescopic rod. Secure it using the provided fixing knob and ensure the cable is routed along the rod.
  2. Connect the Support Bar: Slide the support bar onto the main shaft of the detector.
  3. Attach the Grips and Arm Support: Secure the ergonomic grips and arm support to the upper section of the main shaft.
  4. Mount the Control Box: Slide the display/control box onto the top of the main shaft, ensuring it clicks securely into place. Tighten any long screws to fix it firmly.
  5. Connect Cables: Plug the search coil cable into the designated port on the control box.
  6. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the control box and insert the two 9V batteries, observing polarity.
  7. Connect Headphones: If desired, plug the headphones into the headphone jack located behind the display/controller.

4. Operating Modes

Your Lepmerk Metal Detector offers four distinct operating modes to optimize your treasure hunting experience:

4.1. Three-Tone Audio Discrimination

The detector is equipped with three distinct audio tones (treble, midrange, and bass) that correspond to different types of metals. This feature assists in identifying the type of metal detected without looking at the display.

4.2. LCD Display and Backlight

The backlit LCD display provides crucial information at a glance, including possible metal types, target depth, DISC range, SENS level, volume, and battery condition, along with a digital display for target ID. Press the light button on the controller to turn the display backlight on or off, useful in dark environments.

5. Waterproof Features

The 10-inch search coil is IP68 waterproof, allowing for effective operation in shallow water environments such as beaches, streams, and during rainy conditions. This expands your treasure hunting possibilities significantly. Note: The control box is NOT waterproof and must be kept dry.
