1. Introduction

The Fanvil F600S is a high-end enterprise IP phone featuring Android 9.0 OS, designed to provide an intelligent and smooth touch operation experience. It includes 112 DSS keys on a 7-inch color touch screen, supports third-party applications, and has built-in USB/TF interfaces for enhanced unified communication. Equipped with an adjustable embedded camera, the Fanvil F600S delivers superb audio and video capabilities for group conferences and advanced communication needs.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup

3.1 Attaching the Desk Stand

  1. Align the stand with the slots on the back of the phone unit.
  2. Push firmly until the stand clicks into place.

3.2 Connecting the Handset

Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the phone unit (marked with a handset icon).

3.3 Network and Power Connection

The F600S supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) or an external power adapter.

  • PoE Connection: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and the other end to a PoE-enabled network switch or router. The phone will power on automatically.
  • Non-PoE Connection: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and the other end to a standard network switch or router. Then, connect the power adapter to the power port on the phone and plug it into an electrical outlet.

3.4 Initial Boot-up and Configuration

Upon first power-up, the phone will boot the Android 9.0 OS. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete initial network settings and SIP account registration as provided by your service provider or IT administrator.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Making a Call

  1. Pick up the handset, press the Speaker button, or connect a headset.
  2. Dial the desired number using the on-screen dial pad or physical keypad.
  3. Press the Dial or Send button on the screen.

4.2 Receiving a Call

When the phone rings, pick up the handset, press the Speaker button, or press the Answer button on the screen.

4.3 Using the Touchscreen and DSS Keys

The 7-inch color touchscreen allows for intuitive navigation through menus and applications. The 112 one-touch DSS (Direct Station Select) keys can be configured for speed dial, busy lamp field (BLF), call park, and other functions. Consult your system administrator for DSS key programming.

4.4 Video Calls

The embedded 1080P camera supports high-definition video calls. During a call, select the video option on the screen to initiate a video stream. The camera features flexible placement and angle adjustment for optimal viewing.

4.5 Call Features

The F600S supports various call features:

  • Call Forwarding: Redirects incoming calls to another number.
  • Call Transfer: Transfers an active call to another party (attended or unattended).
  • 3-way Audio Conference: Allows three parties to participate in a single call.
  • Do-Not-Disturb (DND): Silences incoming calls.
  • Voice Message: Accesses voicemail messages (requires server support).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone's surface. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and screen.

5.2 Software Updates

Periodically check for software updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Updates are typically managed by your system administrator or can be accessed through the phone's settings menu.

5.3 Environmental Considerations

6.1 Phone Not Powering On

  • Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the LAN port and the PoE switch/router.

6.2 No Dial Tone / Cannot Make Calls

  • Check network connectivity. Ensure the Ethernet cable is connected and the network is active.
  • Verify that your SIP account is registered. Check the phone's status screen for registration status.
  • Contact your system administrator to confirm SIP account details and network configuration.

6.3 Video Call Issues

  • Ensure sufficient network bandwidth for video streaming.
  • Check camera settings within the phone's menu.
  • Verify that the receiving party's device supports video calls and has a working camera.
