1. Product Overview
The ACEIRMC EZP2023 is a high-speed USB SPI programmer designed for reading and writing various memory chips, including 25 SPI FLASH, 24 EEPROM, 25 EEPROM, 93 EEPROM, and 95 EEPROM series. It offers enhanced speed and features compared to previous models, making it suitable for BIOS chip programming and other memory operations.
- High-Speed Operation: Capable of reading EN25T80 in 3 seconds and writing in 9 seconds.
- Automatic Chip Identification: Automatically identifies 25 series chips. Manual selection is required for 24, 25, 93, 95 EEPROM types.
- Automatic Chip Detection: Detects if a chip is correctly placed in the socket.
- Automatic Voltage Selection: Automatically selects the appropriate chip supply voltage.
- Broad Compatibility: Supports a wide range of memory chips including 25 SPI FLASH, 24 EEPROM, 25 EEPROM, 93 EEPROM, and 95 EEPROM.

2. Setup Instructions
- Software and Driver Installation:
Insert the provided software CD into your computer's optical drive. Locate and install the EZP2023 programming software and necessary USB drivers. It is crucial to install these components for the programmer to function correctly with your Windows operating system (Windows 10 and 11 are supported).
Note: The software interface may default to Chinese. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section for instructions on changing the language to English.
- Connect the Programmer:
Connect the EZP2023 programmer to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The "POWER" indicator light on the programmer should illuminate, indicating it is receiving power.

- Prepare the Chip and Adapter:
Select the appropriate adapter for your memory chip. The kit includes various adapters for different chip packages (e.g., SOP8, TSSOP8, 1.8V adapter, QFN8/WSON8, MSOP8). Carefully place the memory chip into the selected adapter, ensuring correct orientation. Then, insert the adapter into the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket on the EZP2023 programmer. Close the ZIF socket lever to secure the chip.

3. Operating Instructions
- Launch Software:
Open the EZP2023 programming software on your computer. The software should automatically detect the connected programmer.
- Select Chip Model:
The software will attempt to automatically identify the chip model, especially for 25 series chips. For 24, 25, 93, or 95 EEPROM chips, you may need to manually select the correct chip model from the software's database. Ensure the selected model matches your physical chip to prevent errors.
Tip: The chip selection interface may not be sorted. You might need to scroll through the list to find your specific chip. If your chip is not listed, the software may allow for custom chip ID entry.
- Read Chip Data:
To read data from the chip, click the "Read" button within the software. The "RUN" indicator on the programmer will flash during the operation. Once complete, the data will be displayed in the software interface, and you can save it to a file (binary format is recommended for reliability).
- Write/Program Chip Data:
To write data to a chip, first load the desired data file into the software. Ensure the chip is blank or erased if required by the chip type. Click the "Write" or "Program" button. The "RUN" indicator will flash. The software will typically verify the written data automatically after the programming process.
- Erase Chip:
Some chips require an erase operation before programming. If available, use the "Erase" function in the software to clear the chip's contents.
- Verify Chip:
After reading or writing, you can use the "Verify" function to compare the chip's contents with a loaded file or a previously read buffer, ensuring data integrity.
4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your EZP2023 USB SPI Programmer, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Keep Clean: Regularly clean the programmer and adapters with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners.
- Store Properly: When not in use, store the programmer and its accessories in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case.
- Handle with Care: Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to physical shocks. Be gentle when inserting and removing chips and adapters from the ZIF socket.
- Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website (if available) for any software or driver updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
5. Troubleshooting
- Software Interface is in Chinese:
Upon first launch, the software may default to Chinese. Look for a dropdown menu, often labeled with Chinese characters, to select "English" as the language. This option might not be immediately obvious.
- Programmer Not Detected / Driver Issues:
If the software does not detect the programmer or you encounter driver errors on Windows 10/11:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the programmer and the computer.
- Reinstall the drivers from the provided CD.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Verify that your operating system is up to date.
- Chip Not Identified / Read/Write Errors:
If the chip is not automatically identified or you experience read/write errors:
- Ensure the chip is correctly seated in the adapter and the adapter is correctly inserted into the ZIF socket. The ZIF socket lever must be fully closed.
- Verify that you have selected the correct chip model in the software, especially for 24/25/93/95 EEPROM types.
- Check the chip's orientation. Incorrect orientation can damage the chip or programmer.
- Ensure the chip is compatible with the EZP2023 programmer.
- File Format Issues:
When saving or loading data, the software may have issues with Intel Hex format. It is recommended to use the binary format for reliable operation.
