3. Setup
3.1 Connecting the Keyboard
- Unpack the Hexgears GK705 keyboard and the included USB cable.
- Locate an available USB port on your computer (laptop, PC, etc.).
- Connect the USB cable from the keyboard to the USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard is plug-and-play and should be automatically recognized by your operating system. No additional drivers are typically required.
3.2 Adjusting Keyboard Height
The GK705 keyboard features a two-stage tripod design at the back, allowing you to adjust the typing angle for optimal comfort and to minimize hand fatigue.
- Flip the keyboard over to access the underside.
- Locate the two foldable feet at the top corners.
- Gently extend the feet to the desired height. There are two height options available.
- Ensure both feet are extended evenly to maintain stability.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Backlight Control
The Hexgears GK705 features a blue LED backlight with adjustable modes and brightness. Use the function (FN) key combinations to control the lighting effects.
- FN + F1: Adjust backlight mode.
- FN + F2: Adjust backlight brightness.
- FN + F3: Volume down.
- FN + F4: Volume up.
- FN + F5: Mute.
- FN + F6: Previous track.
- FN + F7: Play/Pause.
- FN + F8: Next track.
- FN + ESC: Reset backlight settings.
- FN + Win Key: Lock/Unlock Windows key.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance.
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a can of compressed air to blow away dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- Wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
- For stubborn dirt on keycaps, you may gently remove them using a keycap puller (not included) and clean them separately with mild soap and water, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
5.2 Replacing Switches (Hot-Swappable)
The GK705 keyboard supports hot-swappable Kailh Box switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering.
- Ensure the keyboard is disconnected from your computer.
- Using a switch puller (often included with hot-swappable keyboards or purchased separately), carefully grip the switch you wish to remove.
- Gently pull upwards until the switch detaches from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
- Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks securely.
- Test the new switch by reconnecting the keyboard and pressing the key.

6. Troubleshooting
