1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the MEETOOT Dutch Oven Knob Replacement Kit. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, use, and care of your new pot lid knobs. Please read these instructions carefully before installation to ensure safe and effective use.
2. Product Overview
The MEETOOT Dutch Oven Knob Replacement Kit is designed to replace worn or damaged pot lid handles, offering a durable and heat-resistant solution. Each kit includes all necessary components for a complete replacement.
Included Components (Per Set):
- 1 x Bakelite Replacement Knob (Black)
- 1 x Screw
- 1 x Silicone Pad
- 1 x Stainless Steel Pad
This package contains two (2) complete sets, totaling 2 knobs, 2 screws, 2 silicone pads, and 2 stainless steel pads.

3. Setup and Installation
The installation process is straightforward and can be completed in a few minutes. Ensure your pot lid is clean and dry before beginning.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Lid: If replacing an old knob, remove the existing knob and clean any residue from the lid's mounting hole.
- Assemble the Pads: Place the silicone pad directly onto the lid, centered over the mounting hole. Follow this with the stainless steel pad, ensuring it is also centered. These pads provide a secure fit and protect the lid.
- Position the Knob: Place the bakelite replacement knob on the top side of the lid, aligning its internal threading with the mounting hole and the pads.
- Insert and Tighten the Screw: From the underside of the lid, insert the provided screw through the mounting hole, through the pads, and into the threaded base of the bakelite knob.
- Secure the Knob: Using a screwdriver (not included), carefully tighten the screw until the knob is firmly secured to the lid. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the lid or the knob.

4. Operating Instructions
Once installed, the bakelite knob functions as a standard pot lid handle. Its primary purpose is to provide a safe and comfortable grip for lifting and placing hot pot lids.
- Always use caution when handling hot lids. The knob is designed to be heat-resistant, but the lid itself will be hot.
- Use oven mitts or a cloth when handling extremely hot lids, especially after prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
5. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life of your MEETOOT bakelite knobs.
Cleaning:
- The bakelite knob is dishwasher safe.
- Alternatively, clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots on the stainless steel components.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface of the knob or pads.
General Care:
- Periodically check the screw for tightness. If it becomes loose, gently retighten it to ensure the knob remains secure.
- The bakelite material is designed to be durable and rust-proof, suitable for long-term use.
6. Troubleshooting
Most issues with the knob are related to installation.
Common Issues:
- Knob feels loose: Ensure the screw is fully tightened. If the screw is tight but the knob still wobbles, verify that the silicone and stainless steel pads are correctly positioned between the lid and the screw head.
- Difficulty tightening: Check that the screw is properly aligned with the knob's internal threading. Do not force the screw; if resistance is met, unscrew and realign.
