3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Device

The DSL-30W RGB features a built-in 5200mAh battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided Type-C 18 Watt PD charger or a compatible C-type charger and power bank.

1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the handle of the light wand.
2. Connect the Type-C cable to the light wand and to a compatible power source.
3. The OLED display will indicate charging status.

3.2. Mounting the Light Wand

The light wand is equipped with a 1/4" female thread at the base of its handle, allowing for versatile mounting options.

• Attach the light wand to a compatible light stand, tripod, or other mounting accessories using the 1/4" screw.
• Ensure the light wand is securely fastened before use.

3.3. Attaching Light Control Accessories

The DSL-30W RGB comes with a diffuser, grid, and barn doors to shape and modify the light output.

• Diffuser: Slides onto the light panel to soften the light and reduce harsh shadows.
• Grid: Attaches over the diffuser to narrow the beam angle and control light spill.
• Barn Door: Mounts to the sides of the light panel to precisely direct the light and prevent unwanted spill.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Controls and OLED Display

The light wand features intuitive buttons for one-hand control and an OLED display for real-time settings feedback.

• Power Button: Press and hold to turn the light ON or OFF.
• Mode Button (M): Cycles through different lighting modes (CCT, HSI, Special Effects).
• +/- Buttons: Adjust parameters such as brightness, color temperature, hue, or saturation depending on the selected mode.
• OLED Display: Shows current settings including dimming percentage, color temperature, scenario, and lighting modes.

4.2. Lighting Modes

The DSL-30W RGB offers various lighting modes to suit different creative needs.

• CCT Mode (Correlated Color Temperature): Adjusts white light from 2500K (warm) to 9900K (cool). Use the +/- buttons to change the color temperature and brightness (1-100%).
• HSI Mode (Hue, Saturation, Intensity): Provides access to 36,000 full RGB colors. Use the +/- buttons to adjust Hue (H), Saturation (S), and Intensity (I/Brightness).

The light wand includes 18 preset creative lighting effects to enhance your productions.

To access these modes, press the Mode (M) button until you reach the special effects section. Use the +/- buttons to cycle through and select the desired effect. Effects include Flash, Flash Fast, Flame 1, Flame 2, Fire Truck, Strobe Light 1, Strobe Light 2, Strobe Light 3, Chase Slow, Chase Mid, Chase Fast, Club, TV, Candle, Police, Ambulance, Firework, and Romantic.

4.4. App Control (Go Wireless)

For extended control and convenience, the DSL-30W RGB can be controlled wirelessly via a smartphone application. This allows for intelligent dimming, color temperature adjustment, and full color control.
