Operating Instructions

The SUPERFLO Macerating Toilet System operates automatically. When waste water from the toilet or connected fixtures enters the macerator unit, the water pressure activates an internal air switch. This switch signals the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) to drive the motor, which then activates the rotating impeller.

The impeller macerates (grinds) the waste into a fine slurry, which is then pumped out into the sewage pipe. The system is designed for efficient and quiet operation.

Dual Flush Function:

Utilize the dual flush buttons located on the top of the toilet tank to select the appropriate flush volume:

  • 0.8 GPF (Gallons Per Flush): For liquid waste, providing water conservation.
  • 1.28 GPF (Gallons Per Flush): For solid waste, ensuring effective removal.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your SUPERFLO Macerating Toilet System.

Odor Control:

The upflush toilet system includes an activated charcoal cotton sheet designed to help reduce odors. For improved comfort, you can connect an additional pipe from the system to your home's existing ventilation system.

General Cleaning:

Clean the toilet and external surfaces regularly with standard bathroom cleaners. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the ceramic or plastic components.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SUPERFLO Macerating Toilet System, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

System Not Pumping / Alarm Sounding:

If the impeller within the macerator pump becomes blocked, an alarm on the PCB will sound after approximately 3 minutes. This is a warning to inform the user that maintenance is required and to prevent damage to the motor.

  • Action: Immediately disconnect power to the unit.
  • Inspection: Carefully inspect the impeller area for any obstructions. Common culprits include foreign objects, excessive toilet paper, or sanitary products.
  • Clearing Obstructions: Follow the detailed instructions in the full product manual for safely clearing blockages. If you are unsure, contact a qualified plumber.
  • Reconnection: Once the obstruction is cleared, reconnect power and test the system.

For other issues or if the problem persists, please contact customer support.
