1. Introduction

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the integrated battery. Connect the provided power cable to the speaker's power input and then to a suitable wall outlet (230Vac/50Hz). The battery indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge provides up to 8 hours of continuous use.

5.2. Initial Placement

The VSA500-BP can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a standard 35mm speaker tripod using its integrated top hat insert. For optimal sound projection, consider mounting the speaker at an elevated position.

5.3. Transporting the Speaker

For easy transport, extend the retractable handle and tilt the speaker to engage its built-in wheels.

6. Operation

6.1. Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the rear control panel. Press it to turn the speaker ON or OFF.

6.2. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Turn on the VSA500-BP speaker.
  2. Press the 'MODE' button on the media player or remote control until 'Bluetooth' is selected. The display will show 'BT' and indicate it's searching for a device.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select 'Vonyx VSA500-BP' from the list.
  5. Once paired, the speaker will confirm the connection, and you can stream audio wirelessly.

6.3. MP3 Player (USB/SD)

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card (pre-loaded with MP3 files) into the corresponding slot on the media player.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to MP3 mode or you can select it using the 'MODE' button.
  3. Use the media player controls (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) or the remote control to manage playback.
  4. The MP3 player supports random playback mode.

6.4. AUX Input

Connect an external audio source (e.g., laptop, CD player) to the AUX input using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select 'AUX' mode using the 'MODE' button.

6.5. Microphone Usage

The VSA500-BP includes two wireless microphones: a handheld microphone and a headset microphone with a bodypack transmitter. Ensure the microphones are powered on and paired with the speaker. Adjust the 'MIC LEVEL' and 'MIC ECHO' controls on the rear panel to achieve the desired vocal effect.

6.6. Adjusting Sound

Use the 'BASS' and 'TREBLE' knobs on the rear control panel to adjust the low and high frequencies of the audio output. The 'MASTER VOLUME' knob controls the overall output level of the speaker.

6.7. FM Radio

Select 'FM' mode using the 'MODE' button. Use the tuning controls on the media player or remote control to scan and select radio stations.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the unit.

7.2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, fully charge the battery before long periods of storage. If storing for extended periods, recharge the battery every 3 months to prevent deep discharge.
