2. Safety Information

  • Always assemble the shed on a flat, level surface.

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Assembly is designed to be straightforward. It is recommended to have at least two people for easier installation.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Identify each component using the parts list (not included in this document, refer to packaging).
  2. Assemble the Base Frame: Connect the base frame tubes using the appropriate connectors. Ensure the spring clips engage fully into the holes for a secure connection.
  3. Construct the Vertical Supports: Attach the vertical frame tubes to the base. Some connections may use butterfly nuts, which can be tightened by hand without tools.
  4. Install the Roof Frame: Connect the roof frame tubes to the vertical supports. Again, ensure spring clips are fully engaged.
  5. Drape the Tarp: Carefully drape the waterproof tarp over the assembled metal frame. Ensure the tarp is oriented correctly, with the zippered door facing the desired entrance.
  6. Secure the Tarp: Use the provided spring ropes to secure the tarp to the frame. The ropes should be threaded through the fixed rope holes on the tarp and attached to the frame, allowing for easy adjustment to ensure a snug fit.
  7. Check All Connections: Double-check all frame connections and tarp fastenings to ensure stability and security.

5. Operating Instructions

The Flamaker storage shed features a convenient roll-up zipper door for easy access and security.

  • Opening the Door: Unzip the door completely. Roll the door panel upwards and secure it at the top using the integrated snaps or buckles to keep it open.
  • Closing the Door: Unfasten the snaps/buckles, unroll the door panel, and zip it down completely. This helps protect contents from weather and keeps small animals out.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your Flamaker storage shed.

  • Cleaning: Clean the tarp regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
  • Tarp Care: The tarp is made of all-weather double-layer ripstop material with waterproof and UV-resistant properties. To maintain its integrity, avoid scratching the surface with hard objects.
  • Frame Inspection: Periodically check all frame connections and fasteners to ensure they remain tight and secure. Tighten any loose butterfly nuts.
  • Weather Considerations: While designed for outdoor use, consider additional anchoring in extreme weather conditions (e.g., high winds, heavy snow). Clear any accumulated snow from the roof to prevent structural strain.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Shed Instability: Ensure all frame connections are fully engaged with spring clips and butterfly nuts are tightened. Verify the shed is on a level surface. Utilize the provided rope holes for additional ground anchoring if needed.
  • Water Leakage: Check that the tarp is properly draped and secured, with no gaps or loose areas. Ensure the zipper door is fully closed. Inspect the tarp for any tears or punctures.
  • Difficulty with Zipper: Ensure the zipper path is clear of any fabric obstructions. Apply a silicone-based lubricant if the zipper is stiff.
  • Tarp Damage: If the tarp experiences minor tears, repair kits for outdoor fabrics can be used. For significant damage, contact customer service for replacement options.
