4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

  • Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.
  • Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

4.2 Cleaning

  • Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
    • Replace old batteries with new ones.
    • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's IR emitter and the AV Receiver's IR sensor. Remove any obstructions.
    • Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the AV Receiver.
  • Some functions do not work:
    • This is a replacement remote control. It may not support all functions of the original remote. This is not indicative of a defective product.
    • Verify that the function you are trying to use is compatible with your specific Pioneer AV Receiver model.
