Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your RV water system. Please follow these guidelines carefully.
1. Mounting the Unit:
- The unit can be installed either vertically or horizontally. Choose a location that is easily accessible for maintenance and protected from extreme temperatures.
- Ensure the mounting surface is stable and secure to prevent vibration.
- Refer to the dimension diagram for space requirements.

2. Plumbing Connections:
- The system features 1/2" Barb ports. Use the provided adapters and PTFE tape for secure, leak-free connections.
- Install the 50 Mesh Inlet Strainer on the inlet side of the pump to protect it from debris.
- Ensure all plumbing connections are tight to prevent leaks and maintain system pressure.

3. Electrical Connections:
- The pump operates on 12V DC power. Connect the system to a suitable 12V DC power source.
- Utilize the quick-connect electrical connections for ease of installation.
- Ensure correct polarity (+ and -) to avoid damage to the pump.
- It is recommended to install an appropriate fuse (not included) in the positive power line to protect the circuit.

Operation
Once installed, the KENCIT RV Water System is designed for automatic operation.
- Initial Priming: After installation, open all faucets in your RV to allow air to escape the system. Turn on the pump. The pump is self-priming and will draw water from your tank. Once water flows steadily from all faucets, close them.
- Automatic Operation: The system is equipped with an automatic pressure switch. When a faucet is opened, the pressure in the system drops, activating the pump. When the faucet is closed, the pressure builds up, and the pump automatically shuts off.
- Accumulator Tank Function: The integrated accumulator tank helps to smooth water flow and reduce pump cycling, especially during low water demand. This prolongs the life of the pump and provides a more consistent water pressure.
- Dry Run Capability: The pump is designed to run dry without sustaining damage, offering protection in case your water tank runs empty.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient performance of your water system.
- Strainer Cleaning: Periodically inspect and clean the 50 mesh inlet strainer to prevent debris from entering the pump and affecting its performance.
- Leak Inspection: Regularly check all plumbing connections for any signs of leaks. Tighten connections as necessary.
- Winterization: If operating in freezing temperatures, ensure the system is properly drained and winterized according to standard RV plumbing practices to prevent damage from freezing water.
- Accumulator Tank Pressure: While the tank is pre-pressurized, it's good practice to occasionally check its air pressure (usually via a Schrader valve, if accessible) to ensure it's within specifications, though this is typically not required frequently.
