Initial App Setup

Download the WeHere companion app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock box via Bluetooth and set up initial access codes. Refer to the app's help section for detailed guidance on pairing and user management.

4. Operating Instructions

The WeHere KB2072 offers several methods for unlocking and managing access to your keys.

Unlocking Methods

  • App Bluetooth Unlock: Open the WeHere app on your smartphone. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and your device is within range of the lock box. The app will display an 'Open' button or allow unlocking by shaking your phone, depending on settings.
  • OTP (One-Time Password) Share: Generate temporary, time-sensitive passcodes through the app. These can be shared with visitors or temporary users for single-use or limited-duration access.
  • Remote Wi-Fi Unlock: For remote access from anywhere, the WeHere W100 Wi-Fi bridge (sold separately) is required. Once the bridge is set up and linked to your lock box, you can manage and unlock the cabinet remotely via the app.
  • Fixed Code Unlock: Set a permanent or long-term access code through the app. Users can then enter this code directly on the lock box's keypad to gain entry.
  • Physical Key Unlock: In case of battery failure or electronic malfunction, a traditional physical key is provided as a backup unlocking method. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn to open.

5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low or depleted, replace the 2 AA alkaline batteries in the external battery box. This design allows for easy replacement without needing to open the main key box.

Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the lock box with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Lock Box Not Opening with App:
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range. Check the app for any error messages. Verify the lock box batteries are not depleted.
  • Keypad Not Responding:
Check the battery level in the app or replace the batteries. If the issue persists, use the physical spare key to open the box and contact support.
  • Remote Wi-Fi Unlock Not Working:
Confirm that the WeHere W100 Wi-Fi bridge is properly installed, powered on, and connected to your network. Ensure the bridge is within range of the lock box.
  • Keys Not Fitting Properly:
If storing large or bulky keys (e.g., car or truck keys), ensure you have selected the appropriate size variant of the key box to allow for proper closure.
