Setup and Installation
Tools Required: Screwdriver, Wire Strippers, Drill, Measuring Tape, Utility Knife, Safety Glasses, Gloves.
Important: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before starting installation.
- Prepare Ceiling Opening: Create a ceiling opening of 8.11" x 7.48". Ensure there is sufficient space above the ceiling for the fan housing (7.68" x 7.55" x 6.42").
- Mount the Housing:
- Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling joists. The bracket is designed for easy installation between joists.
- Slide the fan housing into the mounting bracket. Secure the housing to the bracket using the provided screws or by nailing/screwing directly to the joist if preferred.
- Connect Ductwork: Connect a 4-inch round duct to the fan's duct connector. Ensure the duct is securely fastened and sealed to prevent air leakage. Vent the ductwork to the outdoors.
- Electrical Wiring:
- Route the electrical supply wires (120V AC) to the fan housing.
- Connect the fan's wires to the household wiring using the provided wire connectors. Follow the wiring diagram below.
- Ensure proper grounding.
- The fan and light can be wired to separate switches for independent control. The LED light wires cannot be connected to a dimmer switch.
- Install Light Cover: Once wiring is complete and secured, attach the LED light cover to the fan housing. Ensure it clicks into place or is securely fastened according to the design.
