Product Overview

The GRSICO W3-mini system consists of a central WiFi Gateway and multiple wireless water leak sensors. The gateway connects to your home's 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz WiFi is not supported) and communicates with the sensors. When a sensor detects water, it sends a signal to the gateway, which then relays an alert to your smartphone via the AGSHOME app.

Setup Instructions

1. Download the AGSHOME App

1. Search for "AGSHOME" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Download and install the app.
3. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

2. Connect the WiFi Gateway

1. Plug the GRSICO WiFi Gateway into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on a power strip.
2. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Note: 5GHz WiFi networks are not supported.
3. Open the AGSHOME app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device. Select the WiFi Gateway from the device list.
4. The app will guide you through connecting the gateway to your 2.4GHz WiFi network.

3. Pair Water Leak Sensors

1. Once the gateway is successfully connected, you can add the water leak sensors.
2. In the AGSHOME app, select the option to add a sub-device or sensor to your gateway.
3. Follow the app's instructions to activate each sensor for pairing. This usually involves pressing a button on the sensor or removing a battery tab.
4. Repeat for all water leak sensors included in your kit. The gateway can support up to 20 sensors.

4. Sensor Placement

Place the water leak sensors in areas prone to water leaks or drips. Common locations include:

• Under sinks (kitchen, bathroom)
• Near washing machines or dishwashers
• Behind toilets
• In basements or utility rooms
• Near water heaters or sump pumps

Ensure the sensor's detection probes are in direct contact with the surface where water might accumulate. The sensors are wireless and can be placed up to 200 feet away from the gateway, depending on environmental factors and obstructions.

Operating Instructions

Water Leak Detection and Alerts

Once the sensors are paired and placed, the system is active. When a water leak or drip is detected by any sensor:

1. The sensor will immediately transmit a signal to the WiFi Gateway.
2. The gateway will send an instant notification to your smartphone via the AGSHOME app.
3. The app notification will specify which sensor detected the leak, allowing you to quickly identify the problem area.

Silencing an Alert

To stop an alert after a leak has been addressed:

1. Locate the water leak sensor that triggered the alert.
2. Remove the sensor from the water.
3. Wipe the sensor's detection probes completely dry.
4. The alert in the app should clear once the sensor is dry and no longer detecting water.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The water leak sensors are battery-powered. When a sensor's battery is low, you will receive a notification via the AGSHOME app. To replace the battery:

1. Gently open the sensor casing.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Insert a new battery of the correct type (refer to specifications for battery type). Ensure correct polarity.
4. Close the sensor casing securely.

Cleaning

Periodically inspect the water leak sensors for dust or debris on the detection probes. Clean them gently with a dry cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the sensor.

Troubleshooting

• No App Notifications:
  • Ensure your WiFi Gateway is powered on and connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  • Verify your smartphone has an active internet connection.
  • Check app notification settings on your phone and within the AGSHOME app to ensure they are enabled.
  • Confirm the sensors are properly paired with the gateway and have sufficient battery power.
• Gateway Not Connecting to WiFi:
  • Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. The system does not support 5GHz WiFi.
  • Verify the WiFi password entered is correct.
  • Move the gateway closer to your WiFi router.
  • Restart your WiFi router and try connecting again.
• Sensor Not Detecting Water:
  • Ensure the sensor's detection probes are clean and in direct contact with the surface where water might be present.
  • Check the sensor's battery level in the AGSHOME app and replace if low.
  • Verify the sensor is within range of the WiFi Gateway.
• False Alarms:
  • Ensure the sensor's probes are completely dry when no water is present.
  • Check for condensation or high humidity in the sensor's location that might be triggering it.
