Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Alecaremed Pulse Oximeter. This device is designed for non-invasive spot-check measurement of functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2) and pulse rate. It is intended for use by adults and children aged 6 and above in home environments, medical facilities, and during sports activities. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and proper operation.

Components

Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Incorrect battery installation may prevent the device from powering on.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the device has batteries installed.
  2. Open the clamp of the oximeter.
  3. Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index or middle finger) into the rubber opening of the oximeter until it touches the stop guide. Ensure your nail is facing upwards towards the display.
  4. Release the clamp, allowing the oximeter to gently close around your finger.
  5. Press the power button once to turn on the oximeter.
  6. Keep your hand still and avoid movement during the measurement. Readings will appear on the display within a few seconds.
  7. To rotate the display orientation, short press the power button twice while a measurement is active.
  8. The device will automatically turn off after 8 seconds when your finger is removed to conserve battery life.

Memory Function

The Alecaremed Pulse Oximeter can store up to 20 sets of measurement data, allowing you to track your oxygen levels over time.

Accessing Memory Data

  1. Upon startup, the device automatically displays the latest 5 measurement results.
  2. To access the full 20-measurement memory, long press the power button for 2 seconds to enter the settings menu.
  3. Short press the power button to navigate to the "DATA REVIEW" option.
  4. Long press the power button for 2 seconds to select "DATA REVIEW".
  5. Short press the power button to scroll through the stored data sets.

Settings

The device allows for various adjustments to enhance user experience, including brightness and alarm settings.

Accessing and Adjusting Settings

  1. After pressing the power button to turn on the oximeter, long press the button for 2 seconds to enter the settings page.
  2. To navigate through the menu items (e.g., Alarm Setup, Sound, Brightness, Demo), short press the power button.
  3. To enter a sub-menu or confirm a setting, long press the power button for 2 seconds.
  4. Once inside a setting (e.g., Brightness), short press to cycle through options (e.g., brightness levels 1-5). Long press to confirm your selection and exit the setting.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Device

  • Clean the surface of the oximeter before and after each use.
  • Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant (e.g., 70% isopropyl alcohol).
  • Do not immerse the device in water or any cleaning solution.
  • Ensure the device is completely dry before storage or next use.

Storage

  • Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.

Troubleshooting
