4. Setup
Follow these steps to properly install your TECKNET Wireless Door and Window Alarm:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the installation area on your door/window frame and the door/window itself is clean and dry. Wipe away any dust or debris.
- Attach Adhesive: Peel off the protective backing from the 3M adhesive pads and attach them to the back of both the main alarm unit and the magnetic sensor.
- Mount the Units: Carefully align the main alarm unit and the magnetic sensor. The sensor should be installed within 0.5 inches (approximately 1.27 cm) from the arrow side of the main alarm unit. Ensure the arrows on both parts point towards each other for correct functionality.
- Secure Placement: Press both units firmly onto the desired surface (e.g., door frame and door, window frame and window) for several seconds to ensure a strong bond.

5. Operating Instructions
The TECKNET alarm system offers three operational modes and adjustable volume levels:
Mode Selection
Use the slide switch on the side of the main alarm unit to select your desired mode:
- Off: The alarm is deactivated and will not sound.
- Chime: When the magnetic sensor separates from the main unit (e.g., a door opens), the unit will emit a pleasant chime sound. This is ideal for knowing when someone enters or exits.
- Alarm: When the magnetic sensor separates from the main unit, the alarm will sound a loud, continuous alert. This mode is suitable for security purposes, deterring intruders, or alerting you to unauthorized access.
Volume Control
The alarm features a 3-level volume control switch. Adjust the switch to set the desired loudness for both chime and alarm modes.
