5.1 Pre-Installation Checks

5.3 Installation Steps

Installation can typically be completed with just a screwdriver. Follow these steps:

1. Install the Deadbolt Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the latch is oriented correctly for your door's swing. Adjust the backset if necessary (2-3/8" or 2-3/4").
2. Install the Exterior Panel: Feed the cable from the exterior panel through the door hole. Align the exterior panel with the deadbolt latch.
3. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the door using the provided screws, ensuring the cable passes through the plate.
4. Connect Cables and Install Interior Panel: Connect the cable from the exterior panel to the interior panel. Carefully tuck the wires into the designated space. Mount the interior panel onto the mounting plate and secure it with screws.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Keyless Entry (Master and User Codes)

The lock supports one master code and up to 99 user access codes. The master code is used for programming and unlocking, while user codes are for unlocking only.

• To Unlock: Enter your valid access code on the keypad, then press the unlock button (often represented by a padlock icon or a specific key).
• Setting Codes: Refer to the detailed programming section in the included paper manual for steps on how to set, change, or delete master and user codes.

6.2 Mechanical Key Unlock

In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, you can always use the mechanical key to unlock the deadbolt. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn 90 degrees to unlock.

6.3 Anti-Peep Password

To enhance security and prevent onlookers from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual password. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer string.

• Example: If your code is 123456, you can enter 987123456012. As long as 123456 is present consecutively, the lock will open.

6.4 Automatic Locking

With the door magnetic sensor installed, the lock will automatically engage and lock the door after it closes. This ensures your property is always secured.

6.5 Passage Mode

When Passage Mode is enabled, the door lock will remain unlocked, allowing free entry and exit without needing to enter a code. This is useful for high-traffic periods or when you want the door to stay open.
