1. Product Overview

3. Getting Started (Setup)

3.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your JBL Clip 4 speaker. Use the provided Type-C to Type-A charging cable to connect the speaker to a power source.

3.2 Power On/Off

To power on the speaker, press the power button located on the side. Press and hold the same button to power off.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To pair your JBL Clip 4 with a Bluetooth-enabled device:

1. Power on the JBL Clip 4.
2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Clip 4" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, the LED light will turn solid, and you will hear a confirmation tone.

4. Operating the Speaker

4.1 Controls

The JBL Clip 4 features intuitive controls on its front surface:

• Play/Pause: Press the triangle button to play or pause audio.
• Volume Up: Press the '+' button to increase the volume.
• Volume Down: Press the '-' button to decrease the volume.

4.2 Using the Integrated Carabiner

The redesigned carabiner allows for versatile portability. Simply open the carabiner clip and attach it to your backpack, belt loop, or any suitable anchor point.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Waterproof and Dust Resistant

The JBL Clip 4 is IP67 rated, meaning it is fully waterproof and dust resistant. It can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use in various environments, including by the pool, at the beach, or during outdoor activities.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the speaker, gently wipe it with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the fabric or rubber housing.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable.
• Cannot Pair via Bluetooth: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing LED). Check your device's Bluetooth settings and ensure it's discoverable. If issues persist, try turning both devices off and on again.
• Poor Sound Quality: Ensure the speaker and your device are within Bluetooth range (approximately 10 meters/33 feet). Check for any obstructions between the devices.
• Volume Issues: Adjust the volume using the '+' and '-' buttons on the speaker and on your connected device.
