Introduction
Thank you for choosing the CROWN SHADES 10x10 Commercial Instant Pop Up Canopy. This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of your canopy. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and retain this manual for future reference.
Important Safety Information
NEVER leave your shelter unattended. Canopies will blow away or collapse in heavy wind or rain even when properly anchored. ALWAYS take down when a storm is approaching. When in use, always anchor your canopy with both the included stakes and guy ropes to avoid damage.
- Ensure the canopy is securely anchored to the ground using all provided stakes and guy ropes.
- Do not use the canopy in extreme weather conditions, including strong winds, heavy rain, or snow.
- Keep all flame and heat sources away from the canopy fabric. The fabric is flame resistant but not fireproof.
- Always supervise children around the canopy.
- Inspect all components for damage before each use. Do not use if any parts are damaged.

Setup Instructions
The CROWN SHADES canopy features a patented central lock technology for quick and easy setup. Two people are recommended for optimal assembly.

Figure 2: Easy Setup in 3 Steps
- Step 1: Open the Frame
Place the folded frame in the desired setup location. With a person on each side, grasp two outer legs and slowly pull the frame outwards, partially opening it. Do not fully extend the legs yet. - Step 2: Attach Canopy Top
Unfold the canopy top and place it over the partially opened frame. Secure the corners of the canopy top to the frame's corner brackets using the fast clips. Ensure the fabric is evenly distributed. - Step 3: Lock the Frame
Move to the center of the canopy frame. Push the central hub upwards until it locks into place with a click. This patented central lock technology secures all four legs simultaneously. - Step 4: Extend Legs and Adjust Height
Starting from one corner, grasp the lower leg and extend it downwards until the pinch-free button clicks into the lowest height setting. Repeat for all four legs. To adjust the height further, press the pinch-free button on each leg and slide the leg to the desired height setting (three height settings available). Ensure all legs are at the same height. - Step 5: Attach Sidewalls (Optional)
If using sidewalls, attach them to the canopy frame using the integrated clips and Velcro straps. The sidewalls feature double-sided zippers for easy access and reinforced stitching for durability. - Step 6: Secure the Canopy
Fill the provided sandbags with sand or other heavy material and attach them to the canopy legs for added stability. Use the stakes to anchor the canopy feet to the ground. Attach the guy ropes to the canopy corners and stake them into the ground at an angle, ensuring tension for maximum stability.
Operating Instructions
Your CROWN SHADES canopy is designed for various outdoor activities, providing 100 square feet of shade and comfortably accommodating up to 10 seated people.

Figure 3: Benefits of Sidewalls for Sun Protection
- Sun Protection: The rugged 300D silver-coated canopy fabric provides UPF 50+ UV protection. When using sidewalls, the canopy effectively blocks sunlight, keeping the interior cooler.
- Water Repellency: The fabric is water repellent and includes waterproof sealing tape to protect against leaks. However, it is not designed for heavy downpours or prolonged exposure to rain.
- Ventilation: If using sidewalls, ensure adequate ventilation, especially on hot days, by partially unzipping or removing one or more sidewalls if conditions allow.
Disassembly and Storage
The STO-N-Go Bag simplifies transport and storage.
- Disassembly: Reverse the setup steps. Remove all stakes, guy ropes, and sandbags. Detach sidewalls and fold them neatly. Press the pinch-free buttons to retract the legs to their shortest height. Press the central lock release button to unlock the frame. Gently push the frame inwards until it is fully collapsed.
- Storage: Ensure the canopy top and sidewalls are completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew. Fold the canopy top and sidewalls neatly and place them in their respective storage bags. Place the collapsed steel frame into the wheeled STO-N-Go Bag. The bag has a specialized pocket for stakes, guy ropes, and sidewalls.
- Transport: Utilize the integrated wheels on the STO-N-Go Bag for easy transport. The compact size (46.6" x 8.7" x 8.7") allows it to fit comfortably in most vehicles.
Maintenance
- Cleaning Fabric: Clean the canopy fabric and sidewalls with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
- Frame Care: Wipe down the steel frame with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Ensure all moving parts are clean. Periodically check bolts and connections for tightness.
- Storage: Store the canopy in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prolong its lifespan.
- Repair Patch: Use the included repair patch for minor tears or punctures in the canopy fabric. Follow the instructions provided with the patch for proper application.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Canopy difficult to open/close | Frame not aligned; dirt in joints | Ensure frame is on level ground. Clean and lubricate joints if necessary. Apply even pressure when opening/closing. |
| Legs not locking at desired height | Pinch-free button not fully engaged; debris in mechanism | Ensure button is pressed firmly and leg slides into position until it clicks. Check for obstructions. |
| Water pooling on canopy top | Insufficient tension; improper setup | Ensure canopy top is taut and evenly distributed. Adjust leg heights if possible to create slight slope for drainage. |
| Canopy unstable in light wind | Not properly anchored | Always use all stakes, guy ropes, and filled sandbags. Ensure ropes are taut and stakes are firmly in ground. |
