1. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. Read all instructions carefully before using the MegaChef Multifunction Air Fryer Toaster Oven.

  • DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, DO NOT immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance body in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • DO NOT use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • DO NOT place any materials other than manufacturer recommended accessories in the oven when not in use.
  • DO NOT place cardboard, plastic, paper, or similar materials in the oven.
  • DO NOT cover the crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.
  • Exercise extreme caution when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.
  • The appliance should be placed against a wall.

3. Initial Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or protective films from the oven and accessories.
  3. Place the oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate clearance (at least 4 inches) from walls and other appliances for proper ventilation.
  4. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or touching any hot surfaces.

3.2 First Use Preparation

Before cooking food, it is recommended to run the oven empty to burn off any manufacturing residues and odors.

  1. Wash all removable accessories (air fryer basket, baking pan, oven rack, crumb tray) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Insert the crumb tray into the bottom of the oven.
  3. Plug the oven into a grounded 120V-60Hz electrical outlet.
  4. Press the Preheat button. Set the temperature to 450°F (232°C) and the time to 18 minutes.
  5. Allow the oven to run through the cycle. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal for initial use.
  6. Once the cycle is complete, unplug the oven and allow it to cool completely before wiping the interior with a damp cloth.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Operation

  1. Power On: Plug the oven into a suitable electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
  2. Select Function: Turn the Function Knob to cycle through the available cooking modes (e.g., Air Fry, Bake, Roast, Toast). The selected function will appear on the digital display.
  3. Adjust Temperature/Time: Once a function is selected, the default temperature and time for that function will display. Press the Temp/Time Button to toggle between adjusting temperature and time. Turn the Temp/Time Knob to increase or decrease the values.
  4. Preheat (Optional): For some functions, you may wish to preheat the oven. Press the Preheat Button. The oven will heat to the set temperature and beep when ready.
  5. Start Cooking: Place your food inside the oven using the appropriate accessory (e.g., air fryer basket for air frying, baking pan for baking). Close the oven door. Press the Start/Stop Button to begin cooking.
  6. Monitor Cooking: Use the Light Button to illuminate the oven interior and check on your food.
  7. Stop Cooking: To pause or stop cooking, press the Start/Stop Button. The oven will beep when the cooking cycle is complete.
  8. Remove Food: Carefully remove cooked food using oven mitts.

4.2 Using Presets

The MegaChef oven features 21 convenient preset functions for common dishes. These presets automatically set optimal temperature and time for specific foods.

  • Turn the Function Knob to select one of the 21 presets (e.g., French Fries, Chicken Wings, Steak, Pizza, Vegetables, Toast, Broil, Bake, Roast, Dehydrate).
  • The display will show the preset name along with its default temperature and time.
  • You can adjust the default temperature and time using the Temp/Time Button and Temp/Time Knob if desired.
  • Press the Start/Stop Button to begin the preset cooking cycle.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your MegaChef oven.

  1. Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the oven. Discard crumbs and wash the tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Accessories: The air fryer basket, baking pan, and oven rack can be washed in warm, soapy water. For stubborn food residue, soak them before cleaning. Rinse and dry completely.
  4. Interior: Wipe the interior walls and glass door with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For baked-on grease, use a non-abrasive cleaner. DO NOT use steel wool pads or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the non-stick coating.
  5. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the oven in water or any other liquid.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the oven. Store in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
