Setup
Initial Connection
The MX Keys S for Mac can connect to your devices via Bluetooth Low Energy. To connect:
- Turn on the keyboard using the power switch located on the top right edge.
- Press and hold one of the Easy-Switch keys (labeled 1, 2, or 3) for 3 seconds until the LED indicator on the key starts blinking rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- On your Mac, iPad, or iPhone, go to Bluetooth settings and select "MX Keys S for Mac" from the list of available devices.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing.
Note: If FileVault is enabled on your macOS computer, you might need to use a Logi Bolt USB Receiver (not included) to enter your password at startup or reboot when connected via Bluetooth.
Charging the Keyboard
The keyboard features a rechargeable Li-Po (1500 mAh) battery. To charge:
- Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the top edge of the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., your computer's USB port or a USB wall adapter).
- The LED indicator light will show charging status. A full charge can last up to 10 days with backlighting on, or up to 5 months with backlighting off.
